Spooner tallied the opening goal in Boston's 2-1 overtime victory over San Jose on Sunday, taking his point-streak to three games.
EDGE Analysis
The oft-maligned forward has enjoyed a move from left wing to center under new bench boss Bruce Cassidy, scoring three points in four games and looking much more confident on the ice. In addition to his recent scoring streak, Spooner has logged eight points in his last nine games, an enormous departure from the inconsistency he had showed up to that point. Spooner's offensive talent has never been doubted, and if he continues to be more than just a perimeter player, he can be great fantasy pick up for the remainder of the season.

Spooner recorded an assist in Sunday's 4-0 win against the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner is making the most of his 13:27 TOI over the past eight games -- he has one goal and six assists in that span. The key to Spooner's latest success has been his unprecedented time on the power play, averaging 3:54 power-play TOI in February. This sort of relevant ice time will give the 25-year-old consistent opportunities to become a fantasy force.

Despite reports to the contrary, Spooner was not a healthy scratch Saturday against the Maple Leafs. Instead, Jimmy Hayes was scratched, Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The initial report was that Austin Czarnik was taking Spooner's third-line center spot, with Spooner getting scratched. While Czarnik did get in the lineup, Spooner is still playing, and it is Hayes who is the odd man out for Saturday.

Spooner is a healthy scratch for Saturday's game against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Austin Czarnik will be the third-line center with Spooner out. The Bruins are off after Saturday's game until Thursday, but it remains to be seen if this is a one night thing to maybe try and light a fire under Spooner, or if Czarnik will still be in the lineup come Thursday.

Spooner recorded an assist while seeing 13:53 worth of ice time in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner, who saw 3:46 worth of man-advantage time in the contest, picked up his helper on a nifty feed that led to Brad Marchand's second power-play tally of the contest. While Spooner has seen duty up and down the B's lineup up front this season, for now he's back at his natural position, centering the team's third line, flanked by Matt Beleskey and Riley Nash. To date, the 25-year-old has logged seven goals and 25 points in 53 games, a rate of production that Spooner clearly has the speed/skill combo to outpace down the stretch.

Spooner skated on the Bruins' fourth line at practice Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner has the speed and skill to be an impact player on offense when he is on, but with just one helper over his last six games, it's clear that he's not in one of of those stretches. Perhaps some work on the Bruins' energy line will help spark Spooner, but until the production returns, he'll be a speculative fantasy play.

Spooner's scoring streak now stands at five games and seven points after an assist in Saturday's 3-1 win over Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
He now has three goals and four assists in that span. Spooner got off to a slow start this season, but he's now looking more and more like the emerging offensive performer he showed last season.

Spooner scored twice in Thursday's 4-2 win over Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
Spooner scored both of his goals in the third period. His first one broke a 2-2 tie with 3:53 to play, and his second was an empty-netter to seal the victory. The 24-year-old forward has piled up three goals and three assists during his current four-game point streak.

Spooner recorded a goal, an assist and six shots on net in a 3-2 defeat to the Hurricanes on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
He scored at even strength, and his assist came on the power play. Spooner now has two goals and seven points in 13 games this month, but overall, Spooner has still been a pretty big disappointment. After 49 points last season, he enters the Christmas break with 15 points in 35 games.

Spooner scored the game-winning goal in overtime and registered a second-period assist against Montreal on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
After posting 49 points last year, Spponer has been a serious disappointment for Boston and fantasy owners to start 2016-17. The 24-year-old winger has just four goals and 11 points through 29 games. Spooner's lackluster offensive production has him off the fantasy grid at this point, but he's a capable scorer worth watching in deep settings.
