Fedotenko signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Wild on Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
After spending 2013-14 in Russia, Fedotenko attempted to make a return to the NHL last season, but to no avail. The Wild did like want they saw from him in his 13 games at AHL Iowa to re-sign him, but with the parent club seemingly all set at forward, the 36-year-old is likely on tap for another season in the minors.

Fedotenko signed a professional tryout offer with the Wild's minor-league affiliate, AHL Iowa, on Tuesday.
Fedotenko failed to latch on the with the Devils during training camp this fall, but he's not ready to give up on a return to the NHL just yet. The 36-year-old, who spent the 2013-14 season in the KHL with Donbass HC, could be an option for the parent club at some point if he impresses during his time in the AHL. Over 12 seasons in the NHL, Fedotenko has racked up 366 points in 863 games.

Fedotenko was released from his professional tryout contract with the Devils on Tuesday, Tom Gulitti of the Bergen Record reports.
The biggest impact Fedotenko might have made in camp was injuring young defenseman Jon Merrill in an accidental collision, but the 35-year-old was otherwise quiet for the Devils in the preseason. He'll likely return to KHL club Donbass HC, with whom he has two years remaining on a three-year, $9 million contract.

Fedotenko will attend the New Jersey Devils' training camp on a professional tryout basis, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
The 35-year-old Fedotenko played in the KHL last season for HC Donbass, scoring 17 points (7 goals, 10 assists) in 46 games. At this point in his career, he offers little by way of fantasy upside since his career high in points (41) came way back in 2005-06 with Tampa Bay. If he does manage to land a roster spot with the Devils, he will likely be deployed in a checking-line role.

Fedotenko had four goals and 13 points in 47 games with the Flyers last season. At this point of his career, he's nothing more than a bottom-six forward and penalty killer and was unlikely to land a similar contract with an NHL club.

He was not able to return to the game after getting hit into the boards by Montreal rookie Alex Galchenyuk. Fedotenko's night ended after he had a minus-3 rating and three shots in his 16:45 of ice time. Consider him day-to-day with an upper-body injury for now.

Fedotenko signed a one-year deal with the Flyers this past off-season and is just a depth player who has no fantasy value at this point in his career.
