Ruslan Fedotenko hasn't mustered much offensively in the KHL with HC Donbass during the lockout. He has recorded one goal and three assists in 13 games despite garnering 18:36 of ice average ice time per contest. Fedotenko signed a one-year deal with the Flyers this past off-season and he'll be a depth player with the team once the lockout ends.

Ruslan Fedotenko's agent, Allan Walsh, said his client has signed on to play with HC Donbass of the KHL. He agreed to a one-year, temporary pact with the team and will return to Philadelphia when the labor dispute ends.

Ruslan Fedotenko plans to play in Russia in the event of an NHL lockout. The Ukrainian native signed with the Flyers this past summer after spending the past two seasons with the New York Rangers. Fedotenko started his NHL career in Philadelphia in 2000-01 and he played two seasons with the organization.

Ruslan Fedotenko was motivated by a desire to win when he signed a one-year, $1.75 million deal with the Flyers. Fedotenko got a taste of playoff success with the New York Rangers in 2011-12. He had two goals and seven points in 20 games during the Rangers' 2012 playoff run. "I wanted to go to a team where I believe we have a real chance to win the Cup," Fedotenko said. "I feel like maybe I come with a little bit of versatility. I feel like I can play more finesse game or I can play really defensive. I feel like I can adapt to many styles, I feel like I can adjust to a lot of different players." He doesn't have fantasy value in standard leagues, but he should be a good bottom-six forward with Philadelphia.
