Danault had two assists in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Red Wings. He added one hit and a two-minute penalty over 17:55 of ice time.
EDGE Analysis
Danault, who had points (one goal, two assists) in both ends of Montreal's back-to-back set Wednesday and Thursday, is emerging from a drought that saw him register just two assists over 10 games. The 24-year-old center has parlayed last season's breakout campaign into a top-six role in 2016-17, averaging career highs in time on ice as well as power-play minutes. His chemistry with captain Max Pacioretty guarantees him big minutes and, hopefully, point droughts of limited duration.

Danault scored the winning goal in a 2-1 Wednesday victory over Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
The goal was Danault's first goal of November, as he hadn't scored since a four-point night against the Rangers on Oct. 28. Maybe this gets him going, but with his performance so far, it's more likely this is just a blip for a player who hasn't contributed much at the offensive end of the ice.

Danault was moved to the third line for Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs. He had two shots, three hits and one blocked shot over 19:14 of ice time in a 6-0 loss.
EDGE Analysis
Danault had been skating on a line with Max Pacioretty, but head coach Claude Julien re-jiggered the lines after Thursday's disappointing loss to the Coyotes. The 24-year-old's production had dropped off after initial boost when reunited with Montreal's captain. After he posted eight points over seven games, Danault had just two assists in seven games before being moved to a line with Paul Byron and Andrew Shaw on Saturday. Given the lack of scoring chances the Habs generated against the Leafs, we expect more line changes Monday against the Stars on Tuesday.

Danault delivered two goals and two assists in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
This was a game for the ages for the 24-year-old, who picked up all of the points but one while at even strength. Danault had been off to a slow start, just like the rest of the Habs. But remember -- he tallied a decent 40 points last season. He should better that this year.

Danault centered a line that included Max Pacioretty during Monday's practice, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Claude Julien, looking to shake up the league's worst offense, put his lines in a blender Monday. The coach hopes the reunion of Danault and Pacioretty has the same impact it did last season when Danault broke out with 40 points. Julien put the two players together at the start of the second period in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Ducks, and Pacioretty finished with a game-high 10 shots.

Danault scored a shorthanded goal, had three shots on net and recorded a hit over 17:19 of ice time in Thursday's 3-2 shootout win over the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
The Sabres were looking to make their two goals stand up against the offensively challenged Canadiens midway through the third period when Danault tucked a wraparound equalizer under Robin Lehner's skate. The Habs are shaping up to be the same low-scoring offense seen in 2016-17, so any forward not skating on the top line will be a risky fantasy play. Danault, who finished last season on Montreal's top line and had a career high 13 goals and 40 points, opens the 2017-18 season on the second unit with Alex Galchenyuk and Andrew Shaw. Galchenyuk is the offensive star of the unit and, over time, could lift them into a reliable secondary source of scoring.

Danault opened the scoring and assisted on the overtime winner Saturday against the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
That's goals in back-to-back games for Danault, who is on track for a 40-point season in his first full season with the Habs. His current top-line role alongside Alexander Radulov and Max Pacioretty makes him worth a look in some deep leagues right now, and he's also seeing power-play time. If he continues skating on the top line, the 24-year-old possesses enough skill to be worth considering in late rounds of playoff pools.

Danault had a goal, an assist and four shots on net in Montreal's 4-3 shootout win over the Senators on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The goal snapped a 21-game scoreless drought for Danault who has 10 points in his last 27 games. His line was the best the Habs had to offer Saturday as Danault, Andrew Shaw (one goal, one assist) and Artturi Lehknon (one assist) all made it to the scoresheet. The trio also had 12 of Montreal's 32 shots. Seeing this kind of offensive impact from a line other that Montreal's top unit has been a rare sight over the second half of the season.

Danault practiced on the third line Friday, the first practice under new coach Claude Julien, Stu Cowan of Hockey Inside Out reports.
EDGE Analysis
Danault's scoring should take a hit, getting fewer shifts while not skating with Max Pacioretty and Alexander Radulov, Montreal's most consistent point-producers this season. His wingers now will be Arrturi Lehkonen, who hasn't scored in 10 games, and Andrew Shaw, who last scored seven games ago.

Danault (upper body) will play in Sunday's game against Edmonton, Arpon Basu of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The center will skate in his normal spot alongside Max Pacioretty and Alex Radulov, and should be played normally in fantasy leagues despite being a bit banged up. With three points in his last three games, he's got a budding hot streak, and a solid performance against the Oilers would solidify that.
