Sharp was a minus-1 with a single shot in 16:54 of ice time in Tuesday's loss to the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
On Tuesday, Sharp skated wing on a line with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn. He also served time on the team's top power play unit. With fewer mouths to feed than in Chicago, but top weapons who are equally dangerous, Sharp has a chance of being a fantasy dynamo this season. Coach Lindy Ruff is putting him in a position to succeed.

The Blackhawks traded Sharp and Steven Johns to the Stars in exchange for Ryan Garbutt and Trevor Daley on Friday. It was only a matter of time before Sharp was traded by the Hawks, as the team needed to unload him due to cap constraints. There were reports that Sharp may end up with the Bruins, but he ultimately landed with the Stars, who have the cap space to take on his contract. Sharp had a wonderful ten year career with the Blackhawks, raising the Stanley Cup on three different occasions over that span. He will likely assume a top-six role with the Stars, and will likely continue to be a solid offensive contributor for the foreseeable future. He tallied 16 goals and 27 assists for a total of 43 points in 68 games with Chicago in 2014-15.

Sharp, who is expected to be traded this summer, could be headed to Boston, CSN Chicago reports. There have been discussions that Boston is interested and they have cap space. There was talk about Sharp going to the Penguins, but Pittsburgh's acquisition of Phil Kessel appears to make that possibility moot. The Blackhawks are expected to extend Marcus Kruger which would put them right at the cap of $71 million with no room for Sharp. He saw a major dip in his numbers from a career season in 2013-14. The forward registered a career-best of 78 points (34 goals and 44 assists, also a career best), but dropped to 16 goals and 27 assists in 2014-15.

Sharp is likely to be traded by the Blackhawks this offseason, CSN Chicago reports. Despite winning their third Stanley Cup in six years, the Blackhawks don't have the cap room to keep the whole band together. Getting rid of Sharp -- whose role declined this season after he tallied a career-high 78 points in 2013-14 -- and his $5.9 cap hit would go a long way toward the Blackhawks' efforts to re-sign restricted free agent Brandon Saad, who would likely be difficult to retain if other teams were able to extend him an offer sheet. With free agency beginning July 1, look for the Blackhawks to be active over the weekend at the NHL Entry Draft as they attempt to find a suitor for Sharp.

Sharp is no doubt going to be traded by the Blackhawks with the question being when and to whom as there are at least eight teams interested in him, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. With the cap hit of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane's new contract starting in 2015-16, the Blackhawks are going to have unload a couple of prime players. Sharp is at the top of the list with his $5.9 million cap hit and could come somewhere around Friday's NHL draft. The Penguins were considered a prime spot for a trade, but the Stars, Capitals and Panthers have also been mentioned. The Panthers and the Blackhawks have done business in the past. Sharp did not have a great 14-15 season with 16 goals and 27 assists in 68 games. It was his worst full season since 08-09 (26 goals and 18 assists), but Sharp was one of the reasons that the Hawks have picked up three Stanley Cups in six seasons.

Sharp opened the scoring with his fifth goal of the postseason in Saturday's Game 5 win over the Lightning. A fortunate break for Sharp, as Victor Hedman and Ben Bishop ran into each other on the play, allowing Sharp to tuck the puck into the empty net. Sharp picked up an assist in Saturday's Game 4 victory over the Ducks. Sharp was given credit for setting up Antoine Vermette's game-winning goal, though the latter did most of the work in making the play happen. It still counts as the first point of the series for Sharp, who has nonetheless been one of the Blackhawks' best contributors this postseason. He's compiled four goals, six assists, and 45 shot attempts over the team's 14 playoff games.
