Patrick Sharp potted his team-leading 27th goal in Tuesday's overtime loss to Calgary. That total also has him tied with three other skaters, entering Wednesday's action, for fourth overall in the NHL. Sharp has hit the 30-goal plateau three times with the Blackhawks and it appears as though he'll easily get to that mark again in 2013-14.

Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville thinks this has been Patrick Sharp's best season. "He's scored some big goals, he's offensively dangerous and he has the puck a lot," Quenneville said. "Whether it's improvement or evolving in his game, we like where he's at." Sharp has 26 goals and 52 points in 53 contests this season. Ignoring the shortened campaign, he has now surpassed the 25-goal mark for six straight campaigns and shouldn't have any trouble reaching the 30-goal milestone for the third consecutive season.

Patrick Sharp snapped a seven-game goalless skid in Wednesday's shootout loss to Detroit. He had five assists and plenty of shots during his goal drought, so his fantasy owners didn't have much of a reason to be concerned. Sharp is on pace for a career year offensively this season. He already has 26 goals, 51 points and 206 shots in 52 games.

Patrick Sharp picked up an assist in Chicago's 2-1 overtime loss on Saturday. That extends Sharp's point streak to five games. He has 25 goals and 48 points in 47 games this season. He might not end up with a point-per-game this season, but around 70 points seems like a reasonable estimate for him.

In his last 13 games, Chicago forward Patrick Sharp has 14 goals and seven assists and now ranks second in the NHL with 25 goals. Sharp also has two hat tricks in his past five games and 25 goals with 45 points through 44 games this season. He wasn't a favorite to make Team Canada's Olympic roster before the season, but it's difficult to imagine that he'll be off the list when it's announced Tuesday.

Patrick Sharp lit the lamp three times for the Blackhawks in their 5-3 win over New Jersey Friday night. The red hot left winger now has points in six of his last seven games (9 G, 11 A), two hat tricks in his last five games and 25 goals with 45 points through 44 games this season. The veteran was not a favourite to make Team Canada's Olympic roster before the season, but it's hard consider him anything less than a lock at this point due to his explosive play and his chemistry with Jonathan Toews.

Patrick Sharp scored again Saturday night. It was his sixth goal in the Hawks' last three games. It has been suggested that Sharp is trying to send a message to the roster-selecting committee for Team Canada for the upcoming Sochi Olympics. If that is the case, those committee members better sit up and listen.

The Chicago Blackhawks would like to see Patrick Sharp make the cut for Canada's Winter Olympic team. "You know there's lots of talk and who's going to make it, with so many good players from Canada. But he's done everything he can in his power to show Team Canada what he can do," said defenseman Duncan Keith, who is widely believed to be a lock to represent Canada at the Olympics in February. "He's versatile, can play center or wing, and he's got that going for him as well. Obviously he's been huge for us here." Sharp has been hot recently with 10 goals in his last 14 games and 12 points in his past eight outings. He has 36 points in 39 matches this year.
