Kane racked up a goal and two assists in Wednesday's 5-4 OT loss to the Canucks.Kane continued his recent dominance with three more points, putting him firmly in the lead in the NHL's scoring race with 62 points in 55 games. Since being matched up with center Brad Richards about a month into the season, Kane has been arguably the best player in the NHL, so fantasy owners should pay careful attention to who the Hawks have lined up to center the winger next season, as Richards is likely just a one year rental.

Kane potted his 26th of the season and assisted on the game winner in overtime as the Blackhawks grounded the Jets 2-1 on Friday. No. 88 took center stage as the only Kane playing in the contest, tying the game with a second-period snipe before hooking up with Brandon Saad to bring home the win in the extra frame. With 58 points in 52 games, the 26-year-old is arguably having the best season of his eight-year NHL career, and currently holds a share of the scoring lead with the Flyers' Jakub Voracek. Most impressively, his 26 goals are just four shy of his career high of 30 set in 2009-10, so at the very least he's set to smash that personal best with 30 games remaining in the campaign.

Kane had a pair of goals on Friday night in the Blackhawks' 4-1 victory over the Ducks and has five goals in his last five games. Going into Saturday night's game against the Sharks, Kane has six goals and 15 assists in 26 games against San Jose in his career. The Blackhawks' second line with Kane, Patrick Sharp and Brad Richards is on fire. Kane had two goals and an assist in the win against the Ducks while Sharp added four assists and Richards chipped in an assist of his own. With two more goals Kane has accumulated 25 on the season in 49 games. If he stays away from injuries, he'll easily surpass his career high in goals in a season of 30 in the 2009-10 season. It's doubtful though that he will surpass his career high of 88 points in that season. He currently has 56 points in 49 games including 31 assists.
