Thompson (upper body) won't play Monday against the Jets, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
While Thompson is said to be improving, beyond Monday's tilt, the forward's status for Wednesday's Game 4 is unclear as well.

Thompson (upper body) will travel with the Ducks to Winnipeg ahead of Monday's Game 3, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Thompson hasn't resumed practicing with the Ducks since suffering the injury in the regular-season finale last weekend, but the fact that he's traveling suggests he might be nearly recovered. It still seems unlikely that he'll be back in the fold by Monday, which could prove costly after fellow bottom-six center Chris Wagner sustained an injury in Game 2 and could be unavailable.

Thompson (upper body) didn't practice Friday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Thompson's absence at Friday's practice indicates he likely won't be ready to make his return to the Ducks' lineup on Saturday in Game 2 of Anaheim's playoff series against the Jets. His next chance to suit up will come on Monday in Game 3 of the series.

Thompson (upper body) didn't practice Wednesday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Thompson looks very iffy for Thursday's Game 1 against the Jets, though following a season in which the pivot recorded just 18 points in 80 games, his fantasy utility is limited to deep formats.

Coach Bruce Boudreau said that Thompson is being viewed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury ahead of Thursday's playoff opener against the Jets.
Thompson ended up playing in Saturday's regular-season finale against the Coyotes, so it appears that was where the injury probably originated. The center finished the season with 18 points in 80 games while working primarily in a fourth-line role, so his possible absence for the start of the playoffs shouldn't have much of an affect on those in pools.

Thompson scored the go ahead goal and the eventual game winner Sunday night against Nashville.
The score comes as his first since December 13, and only his fourth of the season. Thompson isn't overly effective in any one fantasy aspect, so try to avoid his services if possible.

Thompson assisted on the Ducks' only goal Monday in Vancouver.
The point was his third in four games, a nice little run for the depth forward. However, he only has 15 points on the season, and hasn't scored a goal since mid-December, not numbers you would like to see if you consider Thompson a regular fantasy contributor.

Thompson (lower body) took part in morning skate and is expected to take the ice for Sunday's game against the Stars, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Thompson has been off the ice for the past two games but is apparently well enough to regain his spot in the lineup Sunday. At just three goals and nine assists on the season, the 30-year-old is a limited option across most formats.

Thompson (lower body) remains day-to-day, but he will not play in Friday's game against the Kings, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.
Chris Wagner will center the Ducks' fourth line, working in between Tim Jackman and Patrick Maroon.

Thompson (lower body) could be available for Friday's game against the Kings, Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times reports.
While the demotion of William Karlsson to AHL Norfolk on Thursday would seem to suggest Thompson will be ready to play Friday, coach Bruce Boudreau didn't rule out the possibility of calling up a different center as insurance. Thompson was able to get back on the ice Thursday, but didn't put in a full workout. The Ducks will see how he looks during Friday's morning skate before making a decision on his status for the game.
