Thompson (lower body) could be available for Friday's game against the Kings, Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times reports. While the demotion of William Karlsson to AHL Norfolk on Thursday would seem to suggest Thompson will be ready to play Friday, coach Bruce Boudreau didn't rule out the possibility of calling up a different center as insurance. Thompson was able to get back on the ice Thursday, but didn't put in a full workout. The Ducks will see how he looks during Friday's morning skate before making a decision on his status for the game.
