Mikko Koivu returned to action on Thursday February 21.

Mikko Koivu did not participate in today's practice due to an illness. There's been a bug circulating around the Wild locker room of late, with Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Justin Falk missing time due to illness. The Wild are off until Thursday and we expect Koivu to be healthy enough to play by then.

Mikko Koivu will play in his 500th NHL game on Monday. Koivu is currently fourth in games played for the Wild, three behind former teammate Marian Gaborik. Koivu was off to a great start with two goals and eight points in his first six games but has only one assist in his last five contests. Keep him in your fantasy lineup.

Mikko Koivu scored a goal and added an assist in the Wild's 3-2 victory over Columbus Tuesday. While they don't all appear on the scoresheet, Minnesota's top line of Koivu, Zach Parise and Dany Heatley enjoyed a very productive game. Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Tom Gilbert also managed to find the back of the net in the win.

The top line of the Minnesota Wild have scored 10 of the team's 13 goals. Mikko Koivu, Dany Heatley and Zach Parise have combined for 10 goals and 21 points this season with Mikael Granlund, Pierre-Marc Bouchard and defenseman Tom Gilbert also finding the back of the net. The Wild need a lot more scoring from their second line, especially Devin Setoguchi and still need Bouchard and Granlund to chip in more, otherwise the playoffs will just be a distant dream in the near future.

Mikko Koivu has left TPS Turku. Koivu's ended his stint with the club for tax reasons. His time with TPS Turku was a reunion of sorts as they were the team he originally left when he headed to North America to pursue his NHL career.

Mikko Koivu had two assists in TPS Turku's 4-3 loss to Kalpa Kuopio. Koivu has five goals and eight points in just six SM-liiga contests. He was scheduled to make $5,400,000 with the Minnesota Wild this season, but obviously the lockout has thrown a wrench in those plans.

Mkiko Koivu registered an assist in Finland's 3-1 win over Sweden in the bronze medal game for the Karjala Cup. Former NHLer Ossi Vaananen also registered an assist for the host country. By virtue of the victory, Finland takes the bronze medal. Earlier Saturday, the Czech Republic defeated the Russians to win the gold medal.

Mikko Koivu notched the game-winning goal and added an assist in a 3-1 win for TPS Turku over Lahti. The Minnesota captain has been great since joining the SM-liiga with four goals and five points in only three contests. St. Louis blueliner Kris Russell collected two helpers in the win as well.

Mikko Koivu logged 25:07 minutes in his 2012-13 debut with TPS Turku. Koivu scored two goals, but his SM-liiga team lost. His time in Europe will help him shake off the rust in case the 2012-13 season is saved.
