Smith will backstop the Yotes for their Thursday matchup with Calgary, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has dropped four games in a row, allowing a combined 12 pucks to cross the goal line. The netminder's workload may be down slightly against the Flames who are averaging only 28 shots per game, third worst in the league. Given the large Thursday slate and Smith's recent struggles, fantasy owner may want to consider other options in between the pipes.

Smith allowed four goals on 27 shots during Tuesday's 4-0 loss to the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
It's possible Smith may still be seeing double after attempting to survive an onslaught of 60 shots in his last start against the Blue Jackets on Dec. 3. The 34-year-old is making due with what he has, however, despite Arizona's defense allowing an average of 3.13 goals per game. While it's not entirely pretty, the netminder sports a 4-3-3 record and solid .924 save percentage.

Smith will be between the pipes against the Blackhawks on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
After getting peppered with pucks in his previous appearance -- 60 shots on goal -- Smith will be back in the crease after a night off Monday. Following a strong return from injury, the netminder has struggled of late, as he has lost each of his previous three starts with a GAA of 2.62. Despite some injury concerns of their own, Chicago remain one of the top offensives in the league and will look to challenge the 34-year-old early and often.

Smith was fantastic, as he turned aside 58 of Columbus' 60 shots Saturday night, but unfortunately, he was still tagged with a shootout loss.
EDGE Analysis
Arizona gave up the first goal inside the first minute of the game, but the Coyotes took the lead into the third after two second-period scores. From there on, though, Columbus dominated, outshooting Arizona 33-11 in the third stanza and overtime combined (including 23-4 in the third). In the shootout, Smith wasn't able to stop either attempt he faced, and Arizona failed to score twice. Despite failing to get the win, Smith really helped his save percentage. He is now 4-2-3 with a 2.64 GAA and .930 save percentage, which moves him into top 10 in the category.

Smith will start between the pipes in Saturday's home game against Columbus, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was a bit shaky in his last start, surrendering four goals on 33 shots in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Kings. The veteran netminder will look to bounce back in a highly unfavorable matchup with a Blue Jackets offense averaging an impressive 3.18 goals per game this season, second in the NHL.

Smith stopped only 29 of 33 shots directed on him by the Kings in Thursday's 4-3 loss.
EDGE Analysis
Usually, when the opposition pulls its goalie after one period, you're in a good place, but not this time -- Los Angeles backup Jeff Zatkoff was great in relief of Peter Budaj, while Smith blew the game with two goals late in the third period. The 34-year-old still has strong ratios over his nine outings this year, but they might take another hit when the Jackets' red-hot offense comes to town Saturday.

Smith will defend the net in Thursday's home game against the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has been on fire lately, posting a 2-0-1 record with an excellent 1.62 GAA and .958 save percentage over his last three appearances. The veteran backstop will look to keep rolling in a tough matchup with a hot Kings team that has won five of their last six games.

Smith made 40 saves on 42 chances Tuesday, but that wasn't enough to avoid absorbing an overtime loss against the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
San Jose pelted Smith with vulcanized rubber while his own mates managed just 19 shots against Martin Jones on the other end, putting a stop to the veteran's brief two-game winning streak. He's been under heavy fire recently, having faced 40-plus shots in three of the Coyotes' last five games. That will probably only get worse if top blueliner Oliver Ekman-Larsson has to miss time because of the injury he suffered Monday. Although his team context isn't extremely conducive to fantasy value, Smith has been great since returning from injury and doesn't face much competition from either Justin Peters or the soon-to-return Louis Domingue (lower body).

Smith will start between the pipes Tuesday against the Sharks, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith rested during Monday's team practice but will return to the net Tuesday after setting aside 41 of 42 shots in Saturday's victory over the Oilers. He's now allowed two or fewer goals in four of his last five starts and will look to continue the hot streak Tuesday against a Sharks club that's recently found their footing offensively.

Smith recorded his third win in his last four contests against Edmonton on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has posted a 3-1-1 record since returning from injury that includes a 2.96 GAA. If the netminder can continue to perform well, he may be able to get the Coyotes season back on track. With Louis Domingue (lower body) sidelined, Arizona will likely lean on Smith even more than they originally intended, rather than turning it over to career backup Justin Peters.
