Smith will try to protect the net in Sunday's road game against the Oilers, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith put forth an impressive outing against the Oilers on Friday, stopping 32 of 34 shots en route to his third win of the season. He must be circling these kind of matchups on his calendar, as he's won 14 of 18 games against Edmonton in his career. Couple that with the fact that he's played better on the road and you have yourself a decent streaming option in fantasy leagues.

Smith saved 32 of 34 shots and another two shootout attempts during Friday's win over Edmonton.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has only started six games this season, but he's won three of them. Still, Arizona is allowing the most scoring chances per 60 minutes in the league, and it's unlikely the Coyotes improve enough to make Smith anything more than a low-end fantasy option most nights. While he should continue to see the lion's share of starts, there aren't likely to be many matchups where you can start him confidently.

Smith will guard the crease for Friday night's game against the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
With Louis Domingue dealing with a lower-body injury, the Coyotes turn to Smith as the starter and Justin Peters as the backup Friday. Smith looked terrible last time out and has to face the red-hot Oilers Friday who are scoring at a clip of 3.05 goals per game, good for seventh in the NHL.

Smith was pulled from his start against the Canucks on Wednesday, finishing the night with four goals allowed on 17 shots in a 4-1 loss.
EDGE Analysis
Smith, who was rocked for three goals on six shots in the second frame, stood between the posts for 26:49 before giving way to Louis Domingue, with the backup stopping all nine shots directed his way. Arizona's skaters committed 11 giveaways and only won 44 percent of its draws in the loss, so that should be taken into account if you're a Smith owner pondering whether to leave him in the lineup after this dud.

Smith will start in goal Wednesday night against the visiting Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has shown no signs of rust despite a lower-body injury erasing 12 games from his schedule. He was able to return against the Flames exactly one week ago, and then dominated the Sharks on Saturday with a 43-save win, his second of the season. Now, he's about to face a Canucks team that has picked up just one regulation win on the road.

Smith stopped 43 of 45 shots in Saturday's win over San Jose.
EDGE Analysis
Smith stood on his head to pick up his second win of the season. The 34-year-old has only appeared in four games this year, but has looked solid in two games since returning from injury. Smith is sporting a .922 save percentage, but might be hard-pressed to pick up victories on an Arizona team sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference standings.

Smith will guard the cage in Saturday's home game against the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Smith played pretty well in his first start back from injury Wednesday against the Flames, stopping 22 of 24 shots, but didn't get enough help from his teammates to pick up a win, as the Coyotes ultimately fell to Calgary in overtime by a score of 2-1. The veteran netminder will look to pick up his second win of the season in a surprisingly favorable matchup with a Sharks team that has struggled to score this season. San Jose is only averaging 2.29 goals per game this campaign, 25th in the NHL.

Smith gave up two goals on 24 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime loss against Calgary.
EDGE Analysis
He carried a slim lead into the third period, but couldn't hold it -- although it's tough to blame him, as Matt Tkachuk scored on him from a seemingly impossible angle, firing the puck off the back of Smith's helmet and into the net; the veteran was ultimately sunk by Michael Frolik's unassisted goal 49 seconds into overtime. Still, the key takeaway here is that Smith is healthy again after missing a dozen games with a lower-body issue. As long as he stays that way, he can be expected to take most of the starts for Arizona moving forward.

Smith (lower body) will start in goal Wednesday night, facing the Flames on the road, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has missed the last 12 games, so we'll see if he can shake off the rust and put up a strong performance. Certainly, he will benefit from the absence of stud winger Johnny Gaudreau, who was recently diagnosed with a broken finger. Smith had started the season with one win and a 3.27 GAA over a pair of starts, and the Coyotes' young but promising nucleus has failed to bond and generate favorable results -- Arizona is dead last in the league with only 10 points in the standings.

Smith (lower body) will travel with the Coyotes on their upcoming two-game road trip and is "real close" to a return according to coach Dave Tippett.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was in pretty good form in the first two games of the season before being sidelined by this injury that has kept him out of every game since. Under the watch of Louis Domingue and Justin Peters, the 'Yotes have allowed 3.5 goals per game, so they're hoping they can get Smith back in the next couple games to clean up the mess.
