Michal Neuvirth is set to return to the Washington lineup on their upcoming road trip. Neuvirth will not be backing up Tomas Vokoun on Saturday. He will be travelling on the West coast trip and should see some playing time.

"I doubt if he'll back up tomorrow - he may." While Neuvirth has been recovering from his foot injury, Vokoun has been establishing himself as the Capitals' top goaltender. Vokoun has a 1.96 GAA and .939 save percentage in five starts this season.

Coach Bruce Boudreau said that Neuvirth is listed as day-to-day, but the netminder's condition has not gotten worse. "Our take is if he's not ready to back up in case he's needed, there's no sense," said the Washington bench boss. We'll see [Friday] and hopefully he'll be on the ice with us [Friday]."
