The pressure is mounting on Loui Erisksson to produce given the success of Tyler Seguin in Dallas. Eriksson has yet to register a point as a Bruin, while Seguin, the player he was traded for, is off to a hot start in the Lone Star State with five points. We fully expect Eriksson to be effective in Boston but he may want to get it going as the Bruin faithful are getting restless.

Loui Eriksson is still looking to develop some chemistry with Boston linemates Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron. He feels they are getting close though. "We get some good chances today and it's just a matter of putting the puck in and score some goals," said Eriksson after Thursday's 2-0 loss to Colorado. "Like I said, we have so many games left to play so yeah we're just going to continue to work on it and get better." Eriksson didn't have a shot on goal against the Avalanche and he has no points in three games so far with his new squad.

The Boston Bruins are content to give Loui Eriksson some time to get used to their system. Eriksson has no points in two games this season. "You can't judge or expect miracles in the first few games of the season," said Bruins coach Claude Julien. "You give them a good month to get to know each other and play together, and you hope in that month it progresses. I've seen that so far from training camp until right now." Eriksson admitted that he's still adjusting to the Bruins' style of play. All the same, we don't think Eriksson will have to wait much longer before recording his first point in a Bruins' uniform.

Loui Eriksson is adjusting to playing with the Boston Bruins. "One thing is I have a tendency to cut through the middle and be the slash guy a little bit. Here they want me to stay on side of the wing you're on," said Eriksson "I usually adjust to systems pretty well, but just the one thing I did in all my years in Dallas was cutting through the middle and supporting the other winger. But we've been practicing it every day and we'll get better at it." He didn't record a point in his first two games with the Bruins, but he probably won't have to wait long before that mini-slump ends.

Loui Eriksson scored the overtime winner for Boston in a 3-2 preseason victory over the Jets Thursday night. Eriksson's arrival in Boston has flown under the radar a little due to the fact Tyler Seguin was sent to Dallas, but the underrated forward could experience a big season for the Bruins. Patrice Bergeron and Ryan Spooner also found the back of the net for Boston while Niklas Svedberg blocked 26 of 28 in the win. Mark Scheifele and Devin Setoguchi scored for Winnipeg in a losing effort while Ondrej Pavelec allowed three goals on 34 shots.

Loui Eriksson played alongside Patrice Bergeron in Saturday's exhibition game. It was the first time that the two of them played together, as it marked Bergeron's first outing of the preseason. "It's pretty easy to play with (Bergeron)," Eriksson said. "He's such a smart player to play with. We just need to get some more games to see where we are at. I felt good the last game. We have some things we need to build on, but it felt pretty good." They are strong two-way players who should be able to develop chemistry in short order this season.

Loui Eriksson skated alongside projected linemates Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron during Boston's first practice Thursday. "It felt pretty good," Bergeron said. "You can tell obviously that Loui's a great player. He's got some great speed and great skill. Very excited to have him with us. It's obviously the first practice, so we've got some work to do, but I thought it was pretty good and just fun to see those two guys on my side." Eriksson plays a strong two-way game, so he should be able to mesh nicely with Bergeron.

Loui Eriksson doesn't mind the pressure he'll face this season as the centerpiece of the trade that sent Tyler Seguin to Dallas. "Maybe a little bit, but that's how it is to play in this game. You have to have pressure on you," said Eriksson. "I think everyone is ready for it and I just want to do all I can to prove to the guys here that I'm a good player." He knows that his statistics will be compared to Seguin's throughout the year. Eriksson produced 29 points in 48 games with the Stars during 2013's truncated schedule, but for three seasons in a row before that he topped 70 points each year. He is also looking forward to playing in a bigger hockey market for an Original Six team.

Loui Eriksson joined some of his Boston teammates for an informal skate on Monday for the first time. He was wearing a helmet with the No. 21 on the back, which he can resume wearing in Boston this season because of Andrew Ference's departure. Eriksson also appears to have taken over the old locker spot of trade counterpart Tyler Seguin.

Loui Eriksson believes the Bruins are a great fit for him. The newest Bruin is an underrated two-way player who may not have always gotten the recognition he deserved in Dallas. "I know they play a tough kind of style, a good defensive kind of style," Eriksson said. "I think that will fit me real well. I like to play that way. I'm just happy to be coming to a team like Boston.
