The Ottawa Senators have acquired Kyle Turris from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for a second round pick and David Rundblad. That's a high price to pay for Turris, who has a lot of potential, but has yet to live up to it. In some ways, this feels similar to their acquisition of Nikita Filatov, only they didn't pay nearly as much to pry Filatov away from the Columbus Blue Jackets. Turris will be under a lot of pressure to perform and while the change of scenery might do him a lot of good, we can't recommend picking up Turris at this time. Keep a close eye on him to see what he does with the Senators and what line he ends up on, but wait for him to prove himself before grabbing him in single season leagues.

Kyle Turris has reportedly been dealt to the Ottawa Senators. We're still waiting to find out what the Coyotes got in return, but apparently the deal involves another player and a draft pick. Turris should benefit from a fresh start, but it's too early to say if he'll have any fantasy value this season. For all the hype surrounding him and regardless of how much he might think he's worth, Turris has just 46 points in 137 games.

The Florida Panthers are rumored to be interested in acquiring in Kyle Turris. As with any rumor, you should take this with a grain of salt. It's believed that Turris doesn't want to play in Phoenix, but the team has shown considerable resolve and isn't expected to trade him unless they get an offer that they like. Turris didn't make his season debut until December 1st because Turris tried to hold out for more money as a restricted free agent. Turris ended up signing a two-$2.8 million contract with the Coyotes.

Kyle Turris is still looking for his first point since rejoining the Coyotes six games ago. That's the bad news. The good news is that Turris' game is getting better according to coach Dave Tippett. "We're still looking for a little more, though," Tippett said. "He missed a lot of time. We're going to stick with him, and hopefully he can get up and running as quick as possible." We trust that if you have Turris on your fantasy team he is sitting on your bench.

In his season debut after holding out, youngster Kyle Turris had a team-high four shots in the Phoenix Coyotes' 1-0 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night. The 22-year-old played 11:58, but had not played all preseason and missed two months of the regular season, so it wasn't a bad start. He has a good deal of potential, so he's worth monitoring, but he's risky to bank on right now. He had just 46 points in 131 games at the NHL level thus far.

Center Kyle Turris likely will make his season debut with the Phoenix Coyotes Thursday. Turris signed a two-year deal, $2.8-million with the Coyotes last week. He will take his mandatory baseline test after practice on Wednesday and if all goes well, the 22-year-old will be in the lineup when the Coyotes visit the Winnipeg Jets Thursday. "Kyle is a top young player who will make us a better team," Coyotes general manager Don Maloney said last week. "We look forward to having him in our lineup." Turris, who was a restricted free agent this summer, asked the Coyotes for a trade in late October after the two sides could not come to terms on a new deal. At the time, Maloney said Turris would not be moved, and if he didn't sign with the club, he would be sitting out for the year.

The Coyotes have changed their minds about sending Kyle Turris to Portland of the AHL for a conditioning stint. He is in such excellent shape, that GM Don Maloney wants to take him with the rest of the team on a road trip that begins Tuesday in Chicago. "Kyle has returned in phenomenal condition," Maloney said. "We skated him hard two days in a row, and he looks strong and in shape, so we've decided to keep him with us. We still have the option to send him to Portland for a couple games next weekend, which we may, but it's not in stone. We're going to assess where he is in practice and potentially play him as early as next week." It seems that Turris may return to the Coyotes active roster sooner rather than later. Keep an eye on this situation.

Look for Kyle Turris to be sent to Portland of the AHL for conditioning purposes. Turris signed a two-year contract Tuesday after holding out and practiced with the Coyotes on Friday pronouncing himself ready for NHL action but coach Dave Tippett quickly kiboshed that idea. He should spend a couple of weeks in the AHL practicing and playing and could be ready to return by Dec. 10. "I feel pretty good right now," Turris said Friday. "I did all my tests Thursday and the day before yesterday. I feel really good. I've been skating everyday, I've been in the gym every morning and I feel like I'm in really good shape." Turris is said to look like he added strength and some muscle so it should be interesting to see how he plays the rest of the season. We don't like recommending someone who has held out for almost two months as past history shows that it usually is a lost year but remember Turris next season.

Kyle Turris practiced with the Coyotes on Friday for the first time this season. Turris ended his holdout on Tuesday by signing a two-year contract. Given that he missed the preseason and about two months of the regular season, he might end up being sent to the minors for conditioning.

Kyle Turris, who ended his holdout on Tuesday by signing a two-year contract, might head to the AHL to get into game shape. Turris has missed the preseason and almost two months of playing time because of his prolonged contract negotiations. He does have potential, but we wouldn't count on him having much fantasy value this season.
