Fiala (leg) is ahead of schedule in his recovery and is expected to be ready in time for training camp.
EDGE Analysis
Fiala potted a pair of goals in Nashville's opening-round sweep of Chicago before suffering a broken leg in Game 1 against St. Louis. There is little doubt the winger's absence impacted the Preds' chances of winning their first Stanley Cup. The speedy 20-year-old will almost certainly take on an expanded role in 2017-18 and can probably be counted on to exceed his 54 games played and 16 points from this year.

Fiala underwent surgery to repair a fractured femur on Thursday and will be out for the rest of the season.
EDGE Analysis
The Swiss forward suffered the injury in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Blues, when St. Louis defenseman Robert Bortuzzo checked him in to the endboards after Fiala released a shot and was traveling at a high rate of speed. Fiala, a first-round pick in 2014, is a highly-skilled forward who notched two goals in Nashville's sweep of Chicago and whose presence will be sorely missed by the Preds. Expect either Craig Smith or Calle Jarnkrok to enter the lineup in Fiala's place for Game 2 on Friday.

Fiala was taken off the ice on a stretcher after suffering an apparent leg injury during the second period of Wednesday's Game 1 against the Blues, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fiala awkwardly slammed into the boards legs-first after being taken down by the Blues Rob Bortuzzo and it appears the issue is serious. He will reportedly be taken by ambulance, likely to an area hospital, for treatment. Unless it turns out to be something less severe than it appears, the Preds may have lost a promising piece for the remainder of the postseason. Another update on his status should arrive in the coming days, providing more clarification on the nature of his injury.

Fiala scored 16:44 into overtime Monday, sending the Predators to a 3-2 win over Chicago in Game 3 of their first-round series.
EDGE Analysis
After potting a power-play goal on his only shot in Game 2, Fiala clearly came out with more confidence to put pucks on net Monday, leading the Preds with seven shots. The 20-year-old accumulated just 16 points in 54 regular-season games, but he saw a bit of an uptick toward the end of the season and is enjoying decent ice time (including precious man-advantage minutes) here in the playoffs. It's worth taking a look at him as a bargain option on the wing in DFS.

Fiala went top shelf on a wrister Thursday, not wanting to be left out of a 7-3 road win over the Stars.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie has lit the lamp 11 times in 53 games, which is a pretty good margin for a bottom-six forward. Remember, Fiala went 11th overall in the 2014 draft, therefore, he could be looking at a breakout campaign as soon as next year.

Fiala scored a goal and registered three shots on net with a minor penalty during Monday's win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
The 20-year-old winger has been in and out of the lineup all season but has still provided respectable offensive numbers. His 0.93 goals, 1.45 points and 9.53 shorts per 60 minutes at five-on-five are admirable marks for a freshman, and especially considering his inconsistent -- and often limited -- role. Fiala is nothing more than a speculative flier this year, but he'll likely take a step forward in 2017-18 and show steady progress over the coming years.

Fiala is projected to suit up for Thursday night's game against the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Based on morning skate, Fiala should be positioned on the second line at left wing alongside Mike Fisher and Craig Smith. Colin Wilson is out with a lower-body injury, so Fiala could end up assuming his role on the second man-advantage unit. The Swiss National is Nashville's top prospect, having been selected with the 11th overall pick in 2014.

Fiala will be a healthy scratch Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie led AHL Milwaukee in scoring last season with 50 points in 66 games, and he's held his own at hockey's highest level with 11 points in 41 games; that might not cause your jaw to drop, but it's a decent output for a guy locked into a bottom-six role. By holding Fiala out, it will allow journeyman P.A. Parenteau to make his Predators debut.

Fiala scored Sunday in a 4-3 win against Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
The former first-round pick found the back of the net Sunday in his first game since being recalled from the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals. The Swiss forward clocked 13:09 on the ice and fired two shots during that time. Fiala now has seven goals and three assists in his 33 games in the NHL this year, and he added 75 shots over these contests, which could be a good sign for future fantasy production.

The Predators recalled Fiala from AHL Milwaukee on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The Predators only had 12 healthy forwards on their roster prior to Fiala's promotion, so he'll round out the team's depth up front during their two-game road trip. The Swiss forward has played well in the minors this season, racking up 19 points in 22 games with AHL Milwaukee, but he hasn't fared as well during his time with the big club, tallying nine points (six goals, three assists) in 32 games. His first chance to crack the lineup will come Saturday against Minnesota.
