Ho-Sang didn't hold back about his unhappiness with the organization in an interview Thursday, Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ho-Sang feels the team has unfairly pinned the blame on him for their defensive problems this year. He pointed out that the team is last in the league in goals against and that he only played 22 games this season. While Ho-Sang may have a point and he probably should've been given a second chance this season, it's rare that criticizing the coach and management gets you what you want. Ho-Sang slipped in his draft year because of what most teams considered a poor attitude and piping up about his unhappiness is probably not the way to get back in the Islanders' good graces. A change of scenery may be needed for both parties here.

Ho-Sang doesn't seem to be any closer to a return to the Islanders then he was a month ago, Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
The good news for Ho-Sang is that his issues all have to do with his play on the ice and the Isles believe they can be corrected. He is a gifted skater and could become a solid offensive player for the Isles, but he has to realize that offense isn't the only part of the game that matters and will need to work on his defensive responsibilities. Ho-Sang will likely receive another shot with the Islanders this season once a roster spot opens up due to an injury or trade.

Ho-Sang was a healthy scratch for Bridgeport of the AHL on Wednesday, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The reason for his absence has had more to do with his attitude since being sent down to the AHL than anything else. Ho-Sang is still considered to be one of the top prospects for the Isles but discipline issues have followed him throughout his career. Bridgeport coach Brent Thompson went as far as to call him a "baby" and "immature". When the Isles called up Anthony Beavuillier and Michael Dal Colle earlier this week as injury replacements for Josh Bailey (lower body) and Andrew Ladd (undisclosed) instead of Ho-Sang, that told you all you need to know about his standing in the organization at this point in time. He will once again have to prove himself ready to handle the rigors of the NHL before getting a promotion.

The Islanders loaned Ho-Sang to AHL Bridgeport on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Ho-Sang has gone scoreless while posting an ugly minus-6 rating over his last six contests, so the Islanders will hope a trip to the minors will jump start the 21-year-old winger's offense. The 2014 first-round pick has been a solid contributor for the Islanders this season, notching two goals and 12 points in 22 games, so he'll likely be back with the big club before long.

Ho-Sang contributed two second-period assists in a 5-4 win over Florida on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Ho-Sang has already bested last year's point total and seems to have gotten himself settled in since his emergency recall was changed on Nov. 16. He's contributed six points in his past six games and has taken advantage of his chance. Now that he's a regular in the Isles' lineup, he's a solid option in fantasy lineups as well.

The emergency recall for Ho-Sang has been terminated and changed to a regular recall.
EDGE Analysis
Ho-Sang was on emergency recall due to the leg injury to Anthony Beauvillier. Now that Beauvillier is able to return to the lineup Thursday, the Isles either had to send Ho-Sang back to Bridgeport of the AHL or make the recall change. The season ending shoulder injury to Nikolai Kulemin has made the decision easier for the team and Ho-Sang will lineup up Thursday with Beauvillier and Brock Nelson on the third line.

Ho-Sang (illness) was back at practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
After sitting out of practice Tuesday, Ho-Sang appears to have recovered from his malady. The winger potted a goal in his first outing since being recalled from AHL Bridgeport which should earn him a spot in the lineup against the Hurricanes on Thursday. With the injury to Nikolay Kulemin (upper body), Ho-Sang may not be heading back to the minors any time soon.

Ho-Sang missed practice Tuesday due to an illness, Islanders web site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Islanders don't play until Thursday so this illness may not cause Ho-Sang to miss any games. Ho-Sang is currently on an emergency recall due to the season ending shoulder surgery for Nikolai Kulemin but the Isles can convert that to a normal call up at anytime this month should they wish. While there is no denying his play making ability, Ho-Sang has been in and out of coach Doug Weight's doghouse due to his tendency to try and make one move to many and thus give up the puck. When he can control that desire and become a more responsible puck carrier, he should be a permanent fixture in the Islanders lineup as there is little doubt that he is one of the Isles top nine forwards.

Ho-Sang netted a goal in Saturday's win over the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Ho-Sang is a frustrating fantasy player because when he's in the lineup, he's very likely to produce offense. On the other hand, Ho-Sang is often a healthy scratch and was recently sent down to AHL Bridgeport. Ho-Sang was recalled on an emergency basis, so it's unknown how many more games he will play. The 21-year-old is proving to be very opportunistic, managing five points in his seven NHL games this season, so monitor the situation and grab him if he sticks around.

Ho-Sang was recalled from AHL Bridgeport on an emergency basis Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The Islanders announced that Nikolay Kulemin (upper body) will be out indefinitely, so Ho-Sang was needed as a reinforcement up front with a road game against the Blues scheduled for Saturday night. Nabbed by the Isles with a 2014 first-round (28th overall) draft pick, Ho-Sang makes for a terrific value play given that he's averaged one point over six games at the highest level this season.
