Ho-Sang was named player of the week for Bridgeport of the AHL, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
We mention this because with the NHL trade deadline approaching Monday, the Islanders looking for forward help, and apparently Ho-Sang needing a change of scenery, it would seem a pretty good bet that he could be needing a change of address card shortly. The knock on Ho-Sang off the ice has been immaturity and on the ice it's his play in the defensive zone and his unwillingness to shoot the puck at times. Ho-Sang has tremendous skating ability, but his biggest value to the Islanders may be as part of a trade for a Matt Duchene or Artemi Panarin type of player.

Ho-Sang was demoted to AHL Hartford on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
With Valtteri Filppula (upper body) healthy, Ho-Sang found himself on the outside looking in. In 10 appearances this season, the 22-year-old notched one goal, one assist and 10 shots while averaging 14:31 of ice time. The winger should sit atop the short list of potential call-ups and likely hasn't seen his last NHL action this year.

Ho-Sang will play on the top line for the Islanders on Friday versus the Senators, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ho-Sang will take the place of Jordan Eberle who will miss this game due to what coach Barry Trotz is calling general stiffness. This promotion is probably just for a game or two, but if Ho-Sang were to play well, it's not like Eberle was setting the world on fire this season with seven goals and 17 points in 35 games. Ho-Sang has impressed Trotz with his play and is a skill player whose talents are likely wasted playing on the team's third-line with the likes of Leo Komarov and Valtteri Filppula.

Ho-Sang is expected to make his season debut as the Islanders take on the Red Wings on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Ho-Sang has been a healthy scratch since being called up to the Islanders on Dec. 9. He is expected to play on the third-line with Valtteri Filppula and Leo Komarov. The Islanders have also used Ho-Sang on the second power-play unit during practice the past few days. Ho-Sang could be a breath of fresh air for a team that is having trouble scoring goals at even strength and with the man advantage.

Ho-Sang is expected to be a healthy scratch Monday versus the Penguins, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
This comes as somewhat of a surprise as Ho-Sang was just recalled from the AHL on Sunday and could help an offense that has been having trouble lighting the lamp of late. Instead, it looks like Ho-Sang was just called up to give the Islanders some insurance in case one of several players with minor injuries weren't able to suit up Monday. The fact that the Islanders are likely to play Ross Johnston and Tom Kuhnhackl over Ho-Sang may tell you all you need to know about how the team feels about the future of Ho-Sang.

Ho-Sang was recalled from Bridgeport of the AHL on Sunday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Many Islander fans have been waiting for this since Ho-Sang was sent down to Bridgeport during training camp. Ho-Sang has the offensive skills to be a difference maker at the NHL level, but his play in the defensive zone and lack of maturity have hurt him to this point in his career. The Islanders though need an influx of offensive talent as they have only scored 11 goals in their last six games. Although the Islanders have yet to announce what line or with whom he will play with, it seems likely that he will play on one of the top two lines Monday versus the Penguins.

Ho-Sang was reassigned to AHL Bridgeport on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Ho-Sang will once again start the year in the minors. The highly-touted prospect has long been thought to be NHL ready by the Islanders' faithful, but it appears even the new regime on Long Island doesn't agree and the winger will have to earn his way back onto the 23-man roster down the road.

Ho-Sang (personal) will play in Monday's preseason matchup with Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
With a busy preseason schedule, the Islanders figure to rotate their game-day squads, so don't be surprised to see Ho-sang and others in and out of the lineup early in the preseason. The winger set a career high in assists (10) and points (12) last year while playing in just 22 games. If the youngster can secure a more consistent role with the club this year, he could challenge for the 30-point threshold.

Ho-Sang (personal) won't play Saturday's preseason game against the Flyers, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's not clear why Ho-Sang is sitting out, but he would've likely sat out at some point anyway since the Islanders play six games in seven days. Ho-Sang is looking to have a big camp and secure a roster spot for a full NHL season.

Ho-Sang (personal) didn't participate in Saturday's on-ice session, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ho-Sang is expected to be a full participant in camp Sunday, so there's no real cause for concern here. The 2014 first-round pick, who notched two goals and 12 points in 22 games last campaign, will hope to lock down a full-time gig with the big club this season.
