Jordan Eberle deserves to play in the All-Star game that will be played in Ottawa on January 29. Eberle is having an outstanding season with 17 goals and 43 points for the Oilers. Eberle is also a national hero in Canada for his heroics in back-to-back World Junior Championships in which he scored important goals. "I think he should have a chance to play in it at the very least," head coach Tom Renney said. "I think we have some other players that could have as well. But their time will come, these are great young players that the Oilers have in their organization and these kids should get their due reward and recognition from the league."

Jordan Eberle notched two goals -- once on the power play -- as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night 4-1. It's pretty much a given every night now that at least one of the young studs on the top line will make an impact on the scoresheet. Eberle's goal was his 15th of the season, and he now has 36 points (with points in his last four matches) as well. He's played in 34 games and has just seven fewer points than he had in 69 games during his rookie campaign last year. Lennart Petrell, his third, and Ryan Smyth, his 13th, each potted goals in the winning effort. it was Smyth's first goal in 12 contests.

Jordan Eberle scored a goal in a 3-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night. Jordan Eberle's 13th goal of the season was unique. Yes the goal came on the power play, but more importantly it came with only 1 second left in the period. The goal tied the game at 2-2 and stole the momentum from the Red Wings' side.

Jordan Eberle's breakout season continued Saturday night as he potted a goal in the Edmonton Oilers' 3-2 loss to the San Jose Sharks. OK, so maybe it's not a "breakout" as much as it is the winger playing up to his talent level in his second NHL season at the ripe old age of 21. Eberle is a point-per-game player right now, with 12 goals and 33 points in 32 games played to tie him with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for the team lead. Taylor Hall had the helper on the goal, which was his seventh point in his last five games. Ryan Jones also found the twine in the loss.

Right wing Jordan Eberle had a goal and an assist before he and the Edmonton Oilers suffered a 3-2 shootout loss from the Minnesota Wild. Eberle is irrefutably a first-rate fantasy option. His goal last night was his ninth of the season and his assist was his 17th of the season. Eberle assisted on the 11th goal of the season for Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, perhaps the leading candidate for top rookie in the NHL. Nugent-Hopkins also had his 16th assist of the season. The Oilers were up 2-0 before surrendering two second-period goals to the Wild and then the winning goal in the sixth round of the shootout.

Jordan Eberle has three goals and eight points in his last three games. The Edmonton Oilers as a team have been amazing lately, scoring 16 goals in their last three contests. Eberle is currently averaging a point-per-game and while we don't expect him to maintain that pace, we wouldn't be surprised if he reaches the 60-point mark this season.
