Eberle isn't having a spectacular season, but with 32 points in 49 games and solid power-play production, the former 34-goal-scorer is worth owning in most leagues.

After a six-game point drought, he's got points in back-to-back games. It's not just that drought that was worrisome, though. Prior to Wednesday, Eberle went 18 games without a goal. He's on pace to be under 20 goals this season after three straight years above. On an Oilers team that's finding success, this is far less than is expected of the 26-year-old wing.

Eberle snapped out of his six-game point drought Thursday, notching a pair of primary assists -- one on the power play -- in a 3-1 win over the Kings.

Before hitting the skids, Eberle was clipping along at the shiny pace of 23 points in 30 games, but he fired just seven shots on net over those six scoreless outings. Nonetheless, the winger's talent level is much too high for him to be held down for long. That slump has his production down a tad overall, but health permitting, Eberle remains a strong bet to hit 60 points for the fourth time this season.

Eberle remains on the top line and in a power-play role with his teammates picking up the slack, winning four of six games since he's been caught in this cold funk. Eberle still has a serviceable eight goals and 15 assists on the season, which shows just how good he was to start the year. He's amassed a whopping 90 shots in 36 games, and more of those should fall with a little more focus and/or puck luck.

Aside from a few minor droughts, Eberle has been a consistent producer this season, notching 20 points in 26 games. The 26-year-old is skating in a top-six role and playing on the power play, so there's no reason to think that his production won't continue. Eberle is a very talented offensive player and with the Oilers sitting fourth in the Western Conference, the former 34-goal-scorer should be an automatic roll every game.

He's had a couple lengthy goal droughts this year, and yet Eberle still owns a more-than-respectable 16 points in 21 games. If you feel like he's capable of more, you're right -- he is. If he can cut down on the streakiness, he should see a notable spike in his scoring.

Eberle's ice time has fluctuated wildly, but he's starting to post points with more consistency. After a five-game slump, he's had points in five of his last eight games, totaling two goals and five assists with an average of over three shots per game.

The 26-year-old has now jolted up to 11 points on the year -- five goals and six assists -- and should continue to threaten on the offensive side when skating next to a blossoming superstar in McDavid. The 2008 No. 22 pick had a down campaign last year playing in just 69 games, but he still reached 20-plus goals for the third straight season. Expect the winger to reach that number with upside for more with the Oilers finding their identity in 2016-17.

Paired up with center Connor McDavid, Eberle should return to the 60-point plateau. Statistically speaking, the 26-year-old right wing struggled on the power play last season. However, in Wednesday's opener, Eberle saw 5:35 of power play action.

Eberle had a solid season but far from a great one. His name is likely to be mentioned in trade rumors throughout most of the summer as he could bring back the type defenseman the Oilers are craving. No matter who Eberle ends up with next season he should remain a top six forward and be expected to score 25 goals.
