Jonathan Toews (upper body) wasn't on the ice Friday morning.
Toews' upper body injury is believed to be a concussion, but that hasn't been confirmed. He hasn't played since Feb. 19 and he doesn't seem close to returning.

Jonathan Toews (upper body) will not travel with his teammates to Ottawa where Chicago will begin a three-game road trip on Friday.
Coach Joel Quenneville is hoping that Toews will join the Blackhawks during their road swing, but he added a "we'll see," so it may not be likely. The team captain is said to be making progress from what is believed to be a concussion and he took part in an off-ice workout on Wednesday.

Jonathan Toews(suspected concussion) had an off-ice workout on Wednesday.
This is the first time that Toews has worked out since going down with the upper body injury on Feb. 18. He missed his fifth straight game on Wednesday and there is no timetable for his return at this time.

Jonathan Toews will miss his fifth straight game on Wednesday against Toronto with what the team still maintains is an upper body injury.
The injury, which is said to be "likely concussion symptoms", has kept Toews out since Feb. 19 against visiting St. Louis. Toews did not skate Tuesday and coach Joel Quenneville said there is no change in the captain's status. Toews leads the Blackhawks with 29 goals.

Jonathan Toews (upper body) hasn't started to skate.
Toews missed his fourth straight game on Sunday. Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville hasn't ruled him out for Wednesday's contest, but if he isn't skating yet, then we aren't too optimistic. There has been plenty of speculation regarding the possibility that Toews has a concussion, but Chicago is simply calling it an upper body injury.

Jonathan Toews (upper body) might return to the Blackhawks' lineup on Wednesday, according to Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville.
Toews has already been ruled out for Saturday and Sunday's contests. We recommend taking erring on the side of caution if you're excited by this news because, while we have no reason to doubt Quenneville, all he's saying is that it's a possibility. Additionally, if Toews has been suffering from concussion-like symptoms, as has been speculated, but not confirmed or denied, then it's hard to accurately judge when he might return.

Jonathan Toews (upper body) will not play in Saturday or Sunday's games.
The Blackhawks haven't said if Toews is or isn't suffering from concussion-like symptoms. Either way, he won't even travel with the Blackhawks for their upcoming two-game road trip. Toews hasn't played since Feb. 19. He was also involved in a one-car accident on Thursday, but he was reportedly not hurt as a result of that incident.

Jonathan Toews was not injured on Thursday in a one-car accident.
Toews, who is out of action with an upper body injury (which may be a concussion although there has not been any confirmation), was on his way to the United Center when the accident occurred. The Blackhawks are not sure at this time if he will go with the team to the West Coast where they play a couple of games this weekend. Consider him still day-to-day for now.

Jonathan Toews (upper body) will not play on Thursday.
"Toews is progressing but is still day-to-day," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. He also previously stated that the ailment is not related to Toews wrist, but beyond that, he hasn't specified the nature of Toews' injury.

Jonathan Toews will miss tonight's game against visiting Detroit due to an upper body injury.
Coach Joel Quenneville said it is not the wrist injury that bothered Toews earlier this season. The forward is considered day-to-day. Toews leads Chicago with 29 goals among his 57 points. Brendan Morrison was between Patrick Sharp and Patrick Kane during the morning practice.
