Bernier will get the starting nod Tuesday night against the Coyotes, Jonas Siegel of TSN 1050 reports.
EDGE Analysis
In four games since returning from a conditioning assignment, Bernier is 2-0-2 with a 3.09 GAA and .891 save percentage. His rate stats are not at acceptable levels, but it's not like the Leafs have many alternatives with James Reimer (groin) and Garret Sparks (lower body) dealing with their respective ailments. Bernier has only seen the Coyotes once in his career and that was during the 2014-15 campaign.

Bernier made 24 saves in Monday's 7-4 win over Colorado. It was his second-straight victory.
EDGE Analysis
The game was knotted at threes heading into the third when the Leafs turned up the heat and melted the Avs. Bernier's the man in the blue paint now with so many injured twinetenders and he's made the best of it for the last two games. We hazard a guess he's probably still a bit fragile, but we're rolling Bernie while the opportunity knocks.

Bernier will start in the crease Monday against the Avalanche, Paul Hendrick of Leafs TV reports.
EDGE Analysis
With both James Reimer and Garret Sparks injured, it's not a huge surprise that Bernier will once again be between the pipes for the Maple Leafs. Although it hasn't been announced, it wouldn't be surprising if he starts both games of a back-to-back set heading into the holiday break. The netminder will face a tough matchup Monday against one of the league's hottest goaltenders in Semyon Varlamov and an Avalanche team entering the tilt on a five-game winning streak.

Bernier made 26 saves in a 5-0 shutout win over the Kings. It was his first win of the season.
EDGE Analysis
The monkey is off his back. Bernier was 0-8-3 in his first 11 appearances; he was helped out by a strong defensive effort by his mates on Saturday. The net is his until James Reimer gets back into action and Bernier quite honestly has nothing to lose. He could throw up some decent numbers if his confidence returns. That's a long shot, but it's possible.

Bernier will get the starting nod Saturday versus the Kings at home, Jonas Siegel of TSN 1050 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier draws the start with Garret Sparks sustaining a lower-body injury Thursday, a night in which Bernier was forced into relief duty against the Sharks and proceeded to make 24 saves in the eventual overtime loss. It's been a forgettable season for Bernier, as he is winless through 11 contests with a 3.46 GAA and .883 save percentage. His confidence would surely rise if he ends up beating the Kings, but that's an unlikely scenario given LA's first-place standing in the Pacific Division.

Bernier relieved injured starter Garrett Sparks around the 15-minute mark of the first period of Thursday's game against the Sharks. He entered the game down 2-0 and made 24 saves in a 5-4 OT loss.
EDGE Analysis
He made a number of very good saves, but was burned by Brent Burns in overtime. Bernier hasn't won in about eight months and recently spent time in the AHL on a rehab assignment. He has been linked to a possible trade to Calgary, but it'll be tough for the Buds to make any moves with so many injured twinetenders.

Bernier stopped 22 of the 27 shots he faced in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier had yet another rough outing Tuesday, and is still winless on the season with an 0-8-2 record. His .881 save percentage and 3.45 GAA aren't much better, so he'll need to improve significantly if he wants to see more playing time.

Bernier has been named the starting goaltender for Tuesday's tilt with Tampa Bay, Elliote Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bernier has struggled mightily with the Leafs this season, going 0-8-1 with a 3.28 goals-against average and .888 save percentage, but seems to have found his game in the AHL. In four starts with the Marlies, Bernier recorded three straight shutouts and posted a .948 save percentage. Bernier will look to continue this success against an injury-depleted Lightning squad.

Bernier rang up his third-straight shutout for the AHL Toronto Marlies with 26 saves against Syracuse on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
Leafs' coach Mike Babcock has said Bernie will get four starts with the Marlies, so the tender will be in net again this weekend. The Marlies play Saturday and Sunday. Babcock doesn't seem to much confidence in Bernier, so he needs to impress once he gets back. Hopefully, these three SOs inject a confident calm into his game.

Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock reportedly will give Bernier four starts with AHL Toronto as part of his conditioning assignment, per Jonas Siegel of TSN 1050.
EDGE Analysis
Babcock said he wants Bernier, who has a 0-8-1 record, 3.28 GAA and .888 save percentage this season, to "come back and be who he's capable of being." Considering that Bernier was given a hefty two-year, $8.3 million contract this past offseason, expect team brass to try everything in their power to get Bernier back to relevance. Toronto could afford to shore up its defense in the meantime, as the Buds currently have a minus-16 goal differential.
