Spezza posted three assists and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 6-1 win against the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Spezza is enjoying a very productive March, posting three goals with 11 points through nine games. As long as he is posting at a point-per-game clip he is a solid fantasy option across the board. He remains a fairly decent bargain in DFS play, too.

Spezza (back) is in the lineup for Friday night's game against the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Despite a tone earlier in the day that suggested he wouldn't play Friday, Spezza will return to action after missing just two games. He could see less ice time than he's used to however, as he is projected to skate on the Stars' fourth line with Curtis McKenzie and Adam Cracknell.

Spezza (back) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Sharks, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spezza, who missed his second straight game Thursday due to back spasms, will thus take aim at a possible return to action Sunday against New Jersey. The veteran pivot has logged 12 goals and 42 points, to go along with a minus-18 rating in 59 games to date.

Spezza (back spasms) won't play Thursday against Chicago, NHL.com's Brian Hedger reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Spezza not having traveled to Chicago for the game, the veteran forward's next chance to suit up will arrive Friday, with the Stars back at home to face the Sharks.

Spezza (back) missed practice Wednesday, putting his status for Thursday's game against the Blackhawks in doubt.
EDGE Analysis
The prolific veteran was able to skate in Wednesday's session, but one would think he'll need to partake in a practice or two before rejoining the lineup. Until he gets green lit for a return, Spezza's prime first-line spot -- including work on the power play -- is likely to remain occupied by Cody Eakin.

Spezza missed Monday's game against San Jose due to back spasms, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Recovery timetables for back injuries are notoriously difficult to predict, and there's no reason for the Stars to rush Spezza back at this point in the season, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the veteran pivot miss at least a few more contests while rehabbing his latest ailment. A more definite timeline for Spezza's return to the lineup should be released once he's able to resume skating.

Spezza is considered doubtful for Monday's game against the Sharks after he exited practice Sunday due to back spasms, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Stars have little incentive to rush the veteran into action, so unless his back improves dramatically overnight, it seems they will be without a key piece Monday. Fortunately, the team has a decent shot at getting Jamie Benn (eye) back in the lineup, lessening the blow of Spezza's probable absence. Still, the team would need to not only shuffle their lines but also may need to add a new face to the man advantage.

Spezza dished out assists at even strength and on the power play Thursday in Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
Spezza helped set up Esa Lindell's first-period tally, and also had a hand in Tyler Seguin's power-play game-winner. He has contributed 19 points with the extra man after scoring between 22 and 26 in each of the past three seasons, but the 33-year-old's 22 points at even strength represent a major decline considering he had managed no fewer than 36 in a season since joining the Stars prior to the 2014-15 campaign.

Spezza recorded a power-play goal, added an assist and registered seven shots on net during Wednesday's loss to Ottawa.
EDGE Analysis
The former Senator brought his best effort to the table Wednesday and found the scoresheet for the fifth consecutive game. During the point streak, Spezza has four goals, three assists and 14 shots. While he has just 12 goals and 40 points through 55 games this season, Spezza's 2.79 points per 60 minutes through three years with Dallas rank ninth among all skaters with 3,000 minutes during that span. He's still a solid offensive contributor that warrants ownership in all fantasy settings.

Spezza contributed an assist, a plus-2 rating and three shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
That gives Spezza points in three straight games. The 33-year-old forward's points have been slow to come this season, but he's making up for it with points in four of the last five.
