Spezza lit the lamp twice on seven shots in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
Spezza is really thriving around the net, scoring in six straight games. With 22 shots on goal in that span, the 32-year-old is scoring at an alarming 35 percent, and at this rate, the veteran could challenge his career high of 34 markers. Keep him glued in your lineups.

Spezza opened the scoring and assisted on Tyler Seguin's second-period goal in Friday's win over the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
A solid all-around game for Spezza, who helped the Stars take over first place in the Central Division. The 32-year-old has scored in five straight games and is up to 26 goals and 51 points in 63 games on the season. He continues to be a big threat on the power play, as all but one of his goals on this recent tear have come with the man advantage. With Dallas rolling and sitting in first place in the Western Conference, Spezza is simply an automatic roll right now.

Spezza scored a power-play goal and added two PIM in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Spezza has found twine in four straight games, with three of those coming on the man advantage. 19 power-play tallies on the year is a nice compliment to the 32-year-old's stat line, and as long as he sees over three minutes with an extra skater, the veteran will remain a threat to produce.

Spezza scored and posted a plus-1 rating in Friday's win over the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Spezza has goals in two straight games and five goals in his last six games. Despite having the wingers on his line juggled regularly, he's manages to produce offense consistently. Getting power play time on the Stars' top unit helps him stay productive as well.

Spezza notched two goals -- one on a power play -- in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Winnipeg.
EDGE Analysis
Spezza hasn't missed a beat after suffering an upper-body injury earlier in the month, scoring three goals in his past two outings -- both against the Jets. The 32-year-old center may find it tough to match last year's 62 points, especially after missing a few games, but still produces nonetheless. The former first-round pick has 45 points to date, and if he stays healthy, Spezza should reach the 50-point mark for the 11th time in his career.

Spezza posted a pair of assists for the Stars in his return from injury, a 6-3 loss to the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Spezza had a pair of assists, but little else. He didn't even manage to get a shot off. But his assist on Jamie Benn's goal, a power play goal, shows why Spezza is dangerous no matter what. When you're on the ice with the Stars' lethal top power play unit, points are always a possibility.

Spezza will return from injury Thursday when the Stars visit the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Spezza has been out since getting injured in a Feb. 4 game against Colorado. He may be getting eased back in a bit, with coach Lindy Ruff having him on the wing of Cody Eakin during practice instead of at his typical center position. But he'll still be a good start. Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News notes that Spezza practiced with the team's top power play unit, which means the team has confidence that he's healthy enough to contribute.

Coach Lindy Ruff indicated Monday that Spezza (upper body) may return to the lineup either Thursday or Saturday, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Spezza took part in Monday's practice with his teammates, but sported a non-contact jersey in doing so. Ruff suggested that Saturday seems the more likely return date for the team's third-leading goal scorer, but hasn't officially ruled him out for Thursday either. Antoine Roussel should continue serving in the team's top six in the meantime, but seems the likely candidate to be bumped out when Spezza rejoins the lineup.

Spezza skated Friday, but did not practice with the team, reports Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News.
EDGE Analysis
Heika says Spezza is still "a ways away" and that he may return to practice at the end of next week. That would mean that he's likely to miss at least the next four games.

Spezza's upper-body injury was designated as "week-to-week" by coach Lindy Ruff on Saturday, reports Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News.
EDGE Analysis
That designation makes it sound as though Spezza could really miss some time. He was placed on injured reserve already, but that only requires him to miss a week. It may be worth waiting to see more specific details before jumping ship in keeper formats.
