The Dallas Stars aren't worried about the fact that Jaromir Jagr will turn 41 before the 2012-13 campaign is over. "I don't think there's any question he still has game in the tank," Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk said. "He had a terrific season with Philadelphia." Jagr did end up with 19 goals and 54 points in 73 games with the Philadelphia Flyers in 2011-12. He shouldn't be counted on to do any better next season and he should be regarded as a high-risk pick in fantasy drafts. All the same, from Dallas' perspective, they have only committed to one-year and they have more than enough cap space to absorb his $4.55 million hit, so they can't really be blamed for rolling the dice on Jagr.

In something of a surprise, the Dallas Stars have reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with future Hall of Famer Jaromir Jagr. Pierre LeBrun reports that the contract is worth $4.5 million. This continues an impressive, mostly short-term overall of the Stars this off-season. Ray Whitney signed a similar deal (with one extra year) and traded for Derek Roy to bolster their forward corps. Jagr scored 19 goals and 54 points in 73 regular season games with the Philadelphia Flyers last season.

The Dallas Stars are the latest team connected to Jaromir Jagr in free agent rumors. The Stars are interested in making a splash in free agency and have already make some significant moves, particularly when it came to signing Ray Whitney and trading for Derek Roy. Jagr would be an interesting fit for a team that could add some veteran scoring punch to the mix.

The Montreal Canadiens are reportedly not interested in Jaromir Jagr. This comes after a report that Jagr has expressed interest in playing for Montreal. Regardless, Jagr shouldn't have trouble finding a home. He's a bit of a risk from a fantasy perspective, but he's also a good second line forward.

Jaromir Jagr is interested in playing for the Montreal Canadiens. Jagr is also reportedly seeking a one-year deal worth $4 million, which seems reasonable when you consider some of the other contracts that have been handed out over the last week. Jagr playing in Montreal would certainly be interesting. He's previously played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, and Philadelphia Flyers.

Jaromir Jagr isn't expected to sign before Zach Parise. Once Parise and Ryan Suter pick their homes, a number of other second tier players are likely to start signing. Jagr isn't a superstar anymore, but he can still serve as an above average second liner.

Jaromir Jagr's agent, Petr Svoboda, told ESPN.com that he plans to speak with the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday. The veteran forward is projected to field offers from other teams as an unrestricted free agent on July 1, so any talks this week may be the Flyers' last chance to re-sign him before Sunday.

The Calgary Flames may take a stab at signing pending unrestricted free agent Jaromir Jagr, according to the rumor mill. Jagr's theoretical signing with the Flames would help countryman Roman Cervenka transition to the North American game. Calgary inked Cervenka to a one-year, $3.75 million deal back in May. The two of them played together in the KHL with Omsk Avangard in 2010-11.

Jaromir Jagr plans to test the free agent waters. That doesn't necessarily mean that Jagr won't re-sign with Philadelphia, but it sounds like he is interested in entertaining other offers. Jagr had 19 goals and 54 points in 73 games last season. He turned 40 in February, but he should still be able to contribute as a top-six forward in 2012-13.

According to Jaromir Jagr's agent, Petr Svoboda, his client is interested in re-signing with the Philadelphia Flyers and the two sides are working on a one-year contract. "I've talked to Jaromir and I have talked to [Philadelphia GM] Paul [Holmgren] and we hope to get something done before the draft," Svoboda said. Jagr recorded 54 points in 73 games with the Flyers last season and clicked with star player Claude Giroux.
