Jaromir Jagr wants to stay with the Devils.
Jagr said: "I'm not going anywhere." And that should end all the speculation about Jagr going anywhere. He is having an outstanding season as the 42-year-old has 19 goals and 52 points this season and scored the 700th goal of his NHL career Saturday.

Jaromir Jagr needs only one more goal for the 700th of his career.
It could come as early as this afternoon as the Devils meet the Islanders. Jagr would become the first European player in NHL history to reach the milestone. He would join Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Brett Hull, Marcel Dionne, Phil Esposito and Mike Gartner in the exclusive 700 club.

Jaromir Jagr scored a goal in the Devils' 5-2 win on Thursday.
That was Jagr's 699th career goal, which means that barring an injury, he shouldn't have to wait too much longer before he becomes the seventh person in the 700 goal club. Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Brett Hull, Marcel Dionne, Phil Esposito, and Mike Gartner are the only other players who have accomplished what he's on the brink of achieving.

Jaromir Jagr remains optimistic about the New Jersey Devils' chances of making the playoffs.
"It's still in your hands," Jagr said. "You're going to face all the teams fighting for the playoffs. And in our division it's pretty much open. Even the second spot." The Devils are definitely still in the playoff race, although they do have an uphill battle ahead of them. More to the point is the fact that Jagr doesn't want to be traded and as long as the Devils still have a shot of making the playoffs, they are likely to be less inclined to trade him.

Jaromir Jagr doesn't think playing five games in eight days in Sochi has worn him down.
"I think, actually, those games in the Olympics will help me because I got to skate a lot more, play a lot of games and it's different hockey," Jagr said. Even at the age of 42, Jagr is one of the best players in the NHL. He has 17 goals and 49 points in 59 games this season.

Jaromir Jagr doesn't want to be traded before the March 5 deadline.
"I wasn't even thinking about it," Jagr said Monday. "It's the last thing in my mind to go anywhere, but I don't have any control in that. I don't have a no-trade clause in my contract. I guess I'm the only one." He is also hoping to get New Jersey into the playoffs. The veteran and future Hall of Famer leads the Devils with 17 goals and 49 points in 59 games. Jagr is eligible for unrestricted free agency after this season.

The New Jersey Devils' Jaromir Jagr celebrates his 42nd birthday today, and he's still going strong.
When the NHL returns to action after the Olympic break in a few days, Jagr will become only the 13th player in NHL history to play in the NHL at 42. Jagr, who played in his fifth Olympics for the Czech Republic, has not hinted this will be his last season. Rather, he's repeatedly said he believes he'll still be able to score when he's 50 and has promised to play for his father's hometown team in Kladno to complete his career. "He's got the desire, he's got the heart for it," said former Devil Bobby Holik, a fellow Czech who first saw Jagr play when they were both in youth hockey. "There's hundreds of strong guys like him, but you've got to have the mind and the game sense and he's got the skills."

Jaromir Jagr and the Czechs will face their bitter rivals from Slovakia in an Olympic qualification game on Tuesday that will determine who advances to the quarterfinals.
Jagr has played very well for the Czechs so far, scoring twice in three games. If the Czechs can get past the Slovaks, they will play Team USA in the quarterfinal.
