James Reimer will get the start Saturday night against Montreal. The Leafs desperately want to defeat the Canadiens so that they can finish fifth in the conference and relegate the Habs to fourth. A Toronto-Montreal matchup in the first round would be a ratings bonanza for the networks and will also be a more favourable one for the Buds than one involving the Bruins or Capitals.

James Reimer has been selected as the Toronto Maple Leafs' 2013 Bill Masterton Trophy. Reimer was terrific in his rookie campaign, but he struggled in his sophomore season, likely in no small part to the fact that he suffered a mid-season concussion. Over the summer and even late into this season he had to endure constant fan and media speculation that he might be dethroned as the Leafs' starter in favor of Vancouver Canucks netminder Roberto Luongo. Despite the rumors, scrutiny, and with his sophomore shortcomings fresh, Reimer bounced back with a 2.38 GAA and .926 save percentage in 32 games this season.

James Reimer made 34 saves Thursday en route to a 4-0 shutout win over the Panthers. Florida may not be the stiffest of competition this season, however a shutout deserves some recognition nonetheless. Reimer has enjoyed a solid season and will head into the playoffs as the Maple Leafs starter.

James Reimer kicked away only 21 of 25 shots Wednesday night in the Leafs' 5-2 loss against Montreal. The Leafs are in the playoffs but they'd certainly like to see their number-one netminder be more consistent heading into a pivotal stretch. Reimer wasn't all that busy on Wednesday, and he wasn't all that sharp, either. He gave up one goal in his last start, which was preceded by a loss in which he gave up five goals. Altogether, he has a 2.46 goals-against average and .923 save percentage.

James Reimer is expected to get the nod for Toronto Wednesday night at Tampa Bay. That could mean that backup Ben Scrivens will play Thursday against the Florida Panthers. Reimer will carry an 18-6-5 record with a .926 save percentage and a 2.41 GAA into Wednesday's contest.

James Reimer holds a .926 save percentage which ranks sixth among goaltenders with at least 20 starts. With the win last night, Reimer is now boasting an impressive record of 18-6-5 in this 48-game shortened season. He's been stellar this season and quite the fantasy surprise after a subpar 2011-12 season when he was never the same after a concussion.

James Reimer kicked away a whopping 49 shots in the Leafs' 4-1 win over the Senators on Saturday night. Suffice to say, if Reimer plays like this in the postseason, the Leafs have a very good chance to make some noise. In fact, the 25-year-old has given up just nine goals (five in one game) over his last five starts, so he seems to be finding his game at the perfect time.

We would be surprised if James Reimer were not in goal against the Senators Saturday night. The Leafs didn't skate Saturday morning so we can't say for sure it will be Reimer in net. That said, how can you not start him given the way he has played and the importance of the game?

James Reimer allowed five goals on 38 shots Thursday as Toronto was on the wrong end of a 5-3 score against the Islanders. It wasn't the most impressive performance from Reimer, but the Islanders outplayed the Maple Leafs in the contest and it marks the first time the Toronto goaltender saved fewer than 90 percent of the shots he faced since a 5-3 loss to the Flyers on April 4th.

James Reimer turned aside all 32 shots he faced in a 2-0 shutout win over the New Jersey Devils Monday night. With the win tonight, Reimer is now boasting an impressive record of 17-5-5 in this 48-game shortened season. He's been stellar this season and quite the fantasy surprise after a subpar 2011-12 season when he was never the same after a concussion. He's obviously a must-start down the stretch.
