Reimer relieved starter Jonathan Bernier to start the second period of Saturday's game. He allowed three goals on 27 shots. Reimer will probably see just a few starts before season's end as the Leafs ride Bernier hard -- they need to figure out what they have in him before the offseason. And even if Optimus gets starts, the Leafs aren't likely to score enough -- or play defence well enough -- to make activation worthwhile.

Reimer surrendered three goals on 31 shots in Sunday's 4-0 loss to the Capitals. The free fall continues as the loss drops Reimer to 1-11-0 in his last 12 outings. Jonathan Bernier will continue to see the majority of the action between the pipes anyway, but Reimer has made for a risky play whenever he does start with a 3.14 GAA and .906 save percentage.

Reimer will start in net Sunday against the Capitals, Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun reports. Reimer's last outing came Feb. 20 against the Hurricanes, in which he stopped 24 of the 26 shots against the Hurricanes but took the loss. After three straight Jonathan Bernier starts, Reimer will return between the pipes to face a Capitals team coming off three straight losses.

Reimer will be in the net for Friday's game against the Hurricanes.The Leafs are expected to split the starts between their two netminders for the weekend back-to-back set, with Reimer drawing the easier matchup of the two. That being said, nothing really comes easy these days for the Maple Leafs, losers of 23 of their last 27 games. There's a decent chance Reimer can cobble together some helpful ratios Friday against a squad that ranks 27th in the league in goals per game, but just don't bank on his mates providing much offense on his behalf.

Reimer made 34 saves in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Rangers.He was hung out to dry by some of his teammates who simply failed to put in an effort to back check. Or even check at all. He's a tough play until the Leafs get in a winning groove. And even then, he might not be the starter of choice once they do. Deploy with caution.

Reimer is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Rangers, TSN.ca reports. Reimer -- who has recorded a 7-11 record with a .907 save percentage and a 3.11 GAA in 23 games with the Leafs to date -- will thus make his third straight start after helping the team snap an 11-game losing streak in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Oilers.

What a heartbreak -- he played a great game in support of scheduled, but sick, starter Jonathan Bernier. He'll be between the pipes until Bernie stops puking, but that might only be at practice. The Leafs don't suit up again until Tuesday.

Reimer will be in the crease for Saturday's game against the Oilers, Jack Michaels of the Oilers Radio Network reports. Reimer was scheduled to sit out Saturday after he was torched for four goals on 17 shot attempts Friday against the Devils, but he'll pick up his second start in as many nights after Jonathan Bernier was ruled out with an illness. While the lottery-bound Oilers offers a favorable chance for Reimer to help the Leafs snap their 11-game losing streak, the goalie's poor outing against a Devils squad that ranks 27th in the league in scoring doesn't provide a ton of optimism for his prospects. Reimer will at least have the benefit of skating on his own home ice for this one.

Reimer gave up four goals on 17 shots in Friday's loss to the Devils. A tough outing for Reimer, who saw his team fall to 3-18-1 in their last 22 games. Reimer has just six wins this season with a .908 save percentage and 3.18 GAA, so it's hard to count on him in any fantasy league. Having suffered eight straight losses and currently splitting crease time with Jonathan Bernier on the league's most struggling team, you can probably find a better option in net than Reimer.
