McCabe is probable for Tuesday's game against Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
McCabe exited Sunday's game with a lower-body injury but was a full participant at practice and is "probable" against Minnesota. The former Wisconsin Badger captain has emerged as a top-four defenseman for the Sabres this season and will likely play his usual 18-20 minutes per game. Minnesota's a tough opponent so it's unlikely McCabe adds to his point total. He has eight points through 39 games this season.

McCabe didn't play in the last 9:40 of Sunday's game against the Jets due to a lower-body injury, Mike Harrington of Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear exactly what caused McCabe's injury, but the team didn't provide any further update on his status following the contest. If he's unable to dress for Tuesday's game against the Wild, expect either Mike Weber or Mark Pysyk to draw back in.

McCabe scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 3-0 win over Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
The tally was the young blueliner's first since Oct. 27, and he recorded just two helpers in the lengthy interim. In fact, McCabe hadn't even exceeded one shot on goal in a game since Nov. 25, further highlighting how rare outings like this have been. As a former second-round pick who's shown some offensive ability both in college and at the AHL level, McCabe does still have offensive upside, but the 22-year-old isn't playing the sort of minutes that'll help him realize it in the near term.

McCabe scored his second goal of the season Tuesday against the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
It was also the first game McCabe logged over 20 minutes of ice time, a clear sign that he's been playing much better and head coach Dan Bylsma's increased confidence in playing the 22-year-old. The former Wisconsin Badgers captain is quickly developing into a two-way, top-four defenseman, and along with Rasmus Ristolainen and Cody Franson may be the best fantasy options from Buffalo's blue line so far this season. He's worth keeping an eye on, and feel free to pick him up when he starts playing more than 20 minutes a night regularly and scores more consistently.

McCabe scored his first NHL goal in Thursday's loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
McCabe did a nice job joining the odd-man rush and was rewarded when Marcus Foligno sent a centering pass that he buried to cut the Panthers' lead to one. He was playing in just his 12th NHL game, so it was a big milestone for the 22-year-old defenseman, who was recalled from Rochester on Monday. He only played 14:44 and was used primarily as a penalty killer, so his fantasy upside appears to be very low moving forward.

McCabe was called up Monday morning, reports John Vogl of The Buffalo News.
EDGE Analysis
No explicit reason was given for the call-up since the Sabres are carrying seven defensemen already, but it would be an odd move to call up McCabe and not play him. The Sabres play Columbus on Monday.

The Sabres assigned McCabe to AHL Rochester on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
McCabe broke camp with the Sabres, but he was a healthy scratch in the season opener. He was sent to Rochester to open up a roster spot, but the Sabres have yet to announce a corresponding move.

Head coach Dan Bylsma said McCabe is healthy and will play Thursday against Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
McCabe suffered an upper-body injury and returned to practice Wednesday. He'll be a full participant in Thursday night's game. He's vying for a roster spot and it doesn't seem like his injury has hurt his stock, with Bylsma saying it's a "relief" McCabe is returning to the lineup.

McCabe returned to practice Wednesday, reports Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News.
EDGE Analysis
McCabe suffered an upper-body injury at Sunday's practice but returned Wednesday and seems to be suffering no ill effects. The former Wisconsin Badgers captain is vying for a roster spot and will likely dress the Sabres' next preseason game against Minnesota.

McCabe is currently recovering from an upper-body injury he suffered in Sunday's practice, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCabe is also currently fighting for an Opening Night roster spot with the Sabres in camp, so he'll want to return to action as soon as possible to avoid hurting his chances of doing so. McCabe was reportedly "already feeling better" on Monday, however, so it sounds like he won't miss much time with the ailment. The Sabres should update his status in the coming days.
