Guentzel registered a goal against the Blue Jackets on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Guentzel's crucial goal tied the game with just 1:40 remaining in the contest and ultimately allowed Pittsburgh to earn the shootout win. It also marked the end of a 10-game drought for the youngster. If the Penguins can get the winger back on track, they can quickly become the dominant offense they were during last season's Stanley Cup championship run.

Guentzel recorded an assist through 18:37 of ice time during Monday's 2-1 loss to Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
The helper snapped a two-game point drought, but the offensive dry spells have been few and far between again this year for the sophomore. Guentzel has collected 12 goals and 21 points through 32 games for the campaign, and he's locked into a top-six role with power-play time. It's definitely worth noting that his value and upside take a hit when Pittsburgh is fully healthy because Guentzel is usually demoted to the No. 2 power-play unit.

Guentzel's first goal opened the scoring and his second forced overtime in a 5-4 victory over Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Guentzel stepped up big when the Penguins needed him and now has six points in his past four games. He's now up to 11 goals on the season and owners who rode out the mediocre start to the year are glad they did.

Guentzel was the only one to find the net in a 5-2 setback against Vancouver on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The good news is that Guentzel seems to have gotten things on track after a mediocre start to his season. He's now scored in three of his past five games and is up to eight goals on the year. If he can maintain this, his early expectations could prove reasonable in the end.

Guentzel failed to mark the scoresheet during Friday's 4-1 loss to Washington, and he's now gone 13 games without a multi-point outing.
EDGE Analysis
It's probably too early to dub this a sophomore slump from Guentzel, and his four goals, nine points and 40 shots through 18 games are respectable totals. However, after his impressive debut last year, fantasy owners are hoping to see an uptick in production moving forward. It's not out of the question to consider buying low on Guentzel, especially since he appears locked into a top-six role flanking either Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin.

Guentzel scored the Penguins' only goal in a 7-1 loss to the Lightning on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
He'd gone three games without a point before Saturday. Guentzel is producing at a 55-point pace, but his minus-6 rating is a concern. However, it's important to remember that he only has 49 games under his belt and there will be some inevitable ups and downs.

Guentzel netted his second goal of the season and added an assist in Thursday's loss to Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Life alongside Sidney Crosby appears to be pretty good. The 25-year-old is operating at a point-per-game pace through five contests and has been credited with 10 shots on goal over his last two outings. After exploding for 13 goals in the 2017 postseason, it's clear Guentzel has a knack for putting the puck in the net. Now that he'll be playing his first full NHL season, Guentzel makes for a hot fantasy commodity in a variety of formats.

Guentzel continued his torrid point scoring pace with one goal and four helpers versus Detroit on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Guentzel burst onto the scene last year with 33 points in 40 regular season outings, before notching another 13 goals and eight assists in the playoffs. The winger has yet to let off the gas as he led a competitive summer league in his native Minnesota in scoring and seems to be ready to hit the ground running for the 2017-18 campaign. The Pens are considering moving the 22-year-old to the third-line center role, but one has to imagine captain Sidney Crosby would veto that decision pretty quickly considering how well the two seem to have gelled on the ice.

Guentzel racked up 23 points to lead the Da Beauty League in scoring.
EDGE Analysis
While some might chalk Guentzel's success up to simply being in a summer league, the caliber of competition -- Nick Bjugstad, Dustin Byfuglien and Drew Stafford for example -- makes the youngster's success hard to ignore. A natural center, the 22-year-old could help fill the gap down the middle of the Pens' lineup, but it seems doubtful coach Mike Sullivan will want to break up his Stanley Cup winning "Sid and the Kids" line.

Guentzel opened the scoring in Saturday's Game 3 loss to Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
Guentzel has been a goal-scoring machine this postseason and has kicked off the Stanley Cup Final with four goals through three games. The 22-year-old has been a revelation on the top line with Sidney Crosby and is showing no signs of slowing down. Guentzel currently sits atop the NHL goal-scoring leaderboard, with no rookie having ever led the playoffs outright since the NHL took control of the Cup in 1926. What a story.
