Guentzel notched an assist in Monday's 5-1 defeat to New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
Guentzel is bogged down in a five-game goal drought that has seen him bumped off the top line, instead making up a third line with Riley Sheahan and Phil Kessel. The winger is known for his performances in big games, especially the postseason, so perhaps a clash with Washington on Wednesday will help jump start the youngster's season.

Guentzel tipped the puck past relief netminder David Rittich in Thursday's 9-1 domination of Calgary.
EDGE Analysis
It took Guentzel 19 games to reach the five-goal threshold last season, but has managed to achieve that mark in a mere eight games this time around. At this rate, the 23-year-old will blow his 22-goal career high from 2017-18 out of the water and has firmly cemented himself on Sidney Crosby's left wing.

Guentzel registered two goals and five shots during Thursday's 7-6 overtime win against the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Guentzel heated up in the 2017-18 playoffs with 10 goals and 21 points in just 12 games and has rekindled his offensive touch to open 2018-19. Still only 23-years-old, the third-round pick from the 2013 NHL Entry Draft could easily top last season's 48-point campaign if he can stay on Sidney Crosby's flank for the balance of the season, so roll with him regularly as long as he's in such a prominent role.

Guentzel failed to register a point in the final two games of the Penguins' playoff run.
EDGE Analysis
Even with his mini slump, Guentzel still managed to lead Pittsburgh with 10 goals and was tied with Sidney Crosby for the most points (21). The winger seems to find another gear when the postseason comes around, as he has racked up 23 goals and 19 assists in just 37 contests (1.14 points per game). His numbers aren't quite as impressive in the regular season, but the 23-year-old notched 22 goals and played in all 82 games this year -- both career highs. As long as he continues to play on the left of Crosby, fantasy owners can likely count on the speedster to hit the 20-goal threshold and challenge for 60 points in 2018-19.

Guentzel scored an even-strength goal and a power-play empty-netter while firing seven shots in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
On the first goal, Matt Niskanen broke his stick and had to borrow one from Devante Smith-Pelly, which created confusion in the defensive zone for Washington just long enough for Guentzel to get open in front and give Pittsburgh a 1-0 lead 39 seconds before the halfway point of regulation. Guentzel also helped Washington get back in it, however, by immediately committing a pair of penalties outside his own zone, the first of which resulted in a power-play goal for the Capitals. He potted a power-play goal of his own into an empty net to seal it in the final minute and has 10 goals in 10 games this postseason. Given how critical Guentzel's scoring has been, Penguins fans will easily forgive and forget his boneheaded penalties.

Guentzel recorded a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 Game 3 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Pittsburgh's down 2-1 in the series, but don't let that distract you from Guentzel's postseason brilliance. He's got eight goals and 11 assists in nine games this postseason, giving him 40 points in 34 career playoff appearances.

Guentzel snagged an assist on the Penguins' lone goal against Washington on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
While most of his teammates were ineffective, Guentzel kept his six-game point streak going. The winger is currently tied with Boston's David Pastrnak for the league lead in playoff points with 17 and trails only Winnipeg's Mark Scheifele for the goal lead. If there is blame to go around for the team's subpar outing in Game 2, none of it should fall at the feet of the 22-year-old Guentzel. At this point, it would take a significant slump in production to see the Omaha native taken off Sidney Crosby's line.

Guentzel finished with a goal and two assists in Thursday's 3-2, Game 1 win over Washington.
EDGE Analysis
After scoring four goals and an assist in the Game 6 closeout of the Flyers, Guentzel picked up right where he left off. He recorded a point on each of the three Pittsburgh goals, all of which were scored in a 4:49 span during the third period to turn a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 lead. Guentzel continues to shine in the playoffs, as he now has 37 points in 32 career postseason appearances.

Guentzel scored four goals and an assist in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Flyers in Game 6.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old had a natural hat trick plus one, scoring four straight goals starting in the final minute of the second period to blow the game open. Guentzel has had a huge playoff so far skating alongside Sidney Crosby, scoring seven goals and 13 points in six games, and he and the Penguins will now get at least a brief rest before taking on the winner of the Blue jackets-Capitals series.

Guentzel stretched his point streak to three games with a goal in a Game 5 loss to the Flyers on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The burgeoning winger seems to be playing his best hockey at a crucial time for the Penguins, who have a 3-2 series lead heading into Sunday's action. Guentzel's managed two goals and six assists to complement a plus-5 rating through five games in these conference quarterfinals, which has him ranked fourth in playoff scoring across all teams, and only Sidney Crosby (10) has more points among the Pens.
