Allen had lost four straight games prior to Sunday, but he got back on track with an impressive showing against Colorado. The 26-year-old has been playing well of late, but the wins just weren't following, so it's nice to see him get rewarded. Allen is sporting a decent .907 save percentage and will continue to see a heavy workload down the stretch, so keep him rolling.

Allen will be in the crease for Sunday's contest in Colorado, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The 26-year-old has a mediocre .905 save percentage on the year, but has been fantastic in February, with a stout .933 save percentage and 2.66 GAA in 10 games during the month. The Avalanche are the worst in the league offensively, averaging 1.95 goals per game, so Allen will have a great shot at continuing his hot streak into March.

Allen received Friday night off following a four-game losing streak between the posts, allowing Carter Hutton to step in and stop 37 of 38 shots. The Blues didn't provide any support, however, and the club enters Sunday's matchup on a five-game losing streak. A matchup against an inferior Avalanche squad Sunday might be just what Allen and the Blues need to get back on track.

Allen allowed two goals on 25 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss against the Oilers.

The veteran enjoyed his best month of the season, and he very well could have just one loss in his nine February starts if not for a lack of offensive support. Allen has received a total of just five goals of support in the past three starts. He is giving his team a chance to win every night and fantasy owners are finally getting the stud backstop we saw in 2015-16. Allen wrapped up February with a 5-5-0 record, 2.02 GAA and .933 save percentage with one shutout in 10 starts.

Allen will defend the cage for Tuesday's matchup with Edmonton, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Allen has lost three in a row with a 2.71 GAA and .922 save percentage and will now square off against the Oilers who are averaging 31.0 shots per game -- seventh best in the league. Last time the netminder faced Edmonton was Oct. 20 when he gave up a pair of tallies in a loss.

Allen stopped 35 of 38 shots but it wasn't enough in a 4-2 loss Sunday to Chicago. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.

EDGE Analysis

The Canadian netminder has now dropped three starts in a row after reeling off four straight wins from Feb. 7-16. Allen is stuck on 22 victories in 45 appearances this year, and has largely failed to take the next step as a starter with Brian Elliott out of the picture, and is a tough fantasy recommendation right now given his inconsistency.

While this was Allen's second consecutive loss, he's 5-3 with a rock-solid .935 save percentage and 1.88 GAA since Mike Yeo took over coaching duties. The 26-year-old netminder has put together excellent fantasy stretches in the past, and a strong finish to help St. Louis' playoff chances is well within reach. Allen checks out as a middling No. 2 goalie for virtual teams, and he's worth considering against favorable opponents in daily contests.

Allen will look to bounce back after registering his first loss in his last five outings Saturday. Fantasy owners will be hoping the defeat is simply a blip on the radar, rather than the netminder reverting to his Jan. form which saw him record a lone win in seven appearances. With their stars healthy, Florida is perhaps one of the most dangerous teams in the league and it will certainly be a tall task for the 26-year-old to end their four-game winning streak.

Allen stopped 25 of 28 shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Sabres.

EDGE Analysis

The loss was the first in five starts for Allen, who has improved his performance over the last two weeks. He had entered the game having won five of six starts with a 1.67 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage. His play has been a big part of the Blues' winning streak that was snapped after six games Saturday, and he's reclaimed the job as St. Louis' No. 1 goalie.
