Allen will tend the home goal against the Capitals on Monday, Jim Thomas of the Post-Dispatch reports.

On the one hand, Allen has a 7-2-1 record and a 2.43 GAA in his last 10 games. On the other hand, he has a .902 save percentage in that time. Those numbers are somewhat in opposition with each other. The Capitals have scored 3.09 goals per game, but on zero days of rest that number falls to 2.62.

Allen allowed two goals on 14 shots in a 6-0 loss to the Coyotes on Saturday.

The 27-year-old wasn't great, but he was far from the only problem when Blues coach Mike Yeo yanked him in favor of Carter Hutton. The Blues made the goaltender change in the first few minutes of the second period while only down two, so it was pretty clear Yeo was trying to get the attention of his team. It didn't work. Allen still had a very good March, winning six straight at one point, but since then, he's yielded six goals in about 85 minutes.

Allen will patrol the crease Saturday against Arizona, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic St. Louis reports.

This will mark Allen's 12th start in a row, and during that span he's certainly impressed, notching a .919 save percentage and 2.17 GAA, with a 8-2-1 record. However, in his last start against Vegas, he was roughed up and allowed four goals on 26 shots, but that was the first time he'd allowed four goals or more since Feb. 25. Arizona also sits at 30th in the NHL for goals scored per game (2.47), but Allen will be on the road as he attempts to notch his 28th victory of the year.

Allen stopped 22 of 26 shots Friday, taking a 4-3 overtime loss to Vegas.

EDGE Analysis

Whether it was the quality of the opposition, fatigue or something else, Allen was due for a night where he wasn't at his best after giving up two goals or less in his past four starts. Even though Friday wasn't his night, he entered the day playing very well and still secured a point for his team. He should be a solid play over the Blues' final games of the regular season.

Allen will get the starting nod against the Golden Knights on Friday, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic St. Louis reports.

EDGE Analysis

Allen will be making his 11th straight appearance in the crease and will being trying for his seventh consecutive victory. During his six-game undefeated streak, the netminder has posted a 1.97 GAA, but will face a tough task in shutting down the Vegas offense (3.29 goals per game). The New Brunswick native has no room for error, as the Blues are in a tight race with Colorado and Anaheim for a spot in the playoffs.

Allen came up with 22 stops to beat the Sharks by a 3-2 score in overtime Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

Allen wasn't tested too much in this one and didn't face a single shot in the extra session before Vladimir Tarasenko won it with his second goal of the game. The 27-year-old goaltender has won six straight decisions and eight of his past nine to propel St. Louis into a Western Conference wild card spot. Given the team's recent form, higher-seeded clubs are certainly hoping to avoid a first-round clash with Allen and the Blues.

Allen will start in goal against the visiting Sharks on Tuesday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

The 27-year-old is completely dialed in between the pipes, having skated away with wins in seven of his past eight outings to complement a 2.12 GAA and .919 save percentage over that span. Allen's next opponent is a shoo-in for the playoffs thanks in part to the Sharks crafting an eight-game winning streak heading into Tuesday's action. While there certainly could be easier matchups for Allen, it's always tough to hedge against a surging goaltender in fantasy contests. After all, Allen will be out for revenge after 34 saves on 35 shots wasn't enough to snag a win in the Bay Area on March 8.

Allen stopped 33 shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jackets.

EDGE Analysis

He snapped Columbus' win streak at 10 games while extending his personal win streak to five, and Allen has allowed a single goal in the last three of those victories while posting a .921 save percentage during his streak. The Blues remain in a dogfight for a playoff spot, and Allen will need to stay sharp over the final weeks if St. Louis is going to extend their season.

Allen was the first onto the ice for warmups and will get the starting nod against the Blue Jackets on Saturday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.

Allen is riding a four-game winning streak and has victories in six of his previous seven outings. The netminder will also be appearing in his ninth straight game, while Carter Hutton (neck) has been sidelined. EDGE Analysis

The Fredericton native has now rolled off four consecutive victories, including back-to-back wins with just a single goal allowed in each. St. Louis is in the thick of the playoff hunt in the Western Conference, and despite a lengthy midseason slump, talent has never been in question with Allen. Don't rule out a sterling late surge from Allen and the Blues.
