Eichel (upper body) was not in attendance for Wednesday's practice session, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel -- who was injured in Monday's matchup with the Islanders -- isn't expected to be sidelined long term, but that fact that he missed practice raises doubts about his availability against the Panthers on Thursday. Evan Rodrigues slotted into Eichel's spot on the top line, as well as the No.1 power-play unit.

Eichel (undisclosed) left Monday's game against the Islanders and will not return.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel was a game-time decision for Monday's contest with an undisclosed issue, so it's possible that he wasn't fit to play despite suiting up. Buffalo should have a better update after the game but hopefully his absence the rest of the way is merely precautionary.

Eichel put two assists on the board Saturday in a 3-0 win over Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
He had been held off the board last game, but he came back with a bang. Eichel has 16 points, including nine goals, in his last nine games and 48 in 37 on the season. The game will tighten up over the second half for the Sabres, including Eichel, so it will be hard for him to maintain this 100-plus point pace. But his talent is undeniable and we sure won't bet against him.

Eichel scored two goals, dished out two assists and recorded six shots on goal in Sunday's 4-2 win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
In his first three seasons, Eichel's point total rose each year, scoring 56, 57 and 64 points, respectively. Just 34 games into his fourth campaign, the star center already has 14 goals and 45 points, on pace to set new career highs in just about every offensive category. Eichel has been the driving force behind the Sabres reemergence as playoff contenders and he's become an elite fantasy stud in the process.

Eichel's power play goal got his team back in the game, and he contributed the secondary assist on Jeff Skinner's winning goal in a 4-3 victory over Los Angeles on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel continues to be a scoring machine, and Tuesday was a nice bonus for his owners as both of his points came on the power play. At ninth in the league in points, Eichel is as close as it gets to a sure thing in fantasy.

Eichel scored both Sabres goals in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
He lit the lamp twice in just over 12 minutes to begin the game, but unfortunately nobody else in a Buffalo uniform stepped up to support him. Eichel has four goals in his last two games and seven multi-point performances in his last 11, giving the burgeoning superstar a stellar nine goals and 36 points through 30 games.
