Eichel fashioned five assists (four on the power play) in Saturday's 7-4 road win over the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
What an incredible display from Buffalo's elite third-year center. Eichel has now established a career high in points with 25 goals and 37 assists through 63 games, though he does need four more man-advantage points to match last year's total of 24.

Eichel scored two goals on four shots while adding two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-1 rating in Monday's 3-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
After managing only one point (an assist) in five games since returning from an ankle injury, Eichel appeared back in top form again Monday. He's been firing plenty of rubber at opposition goalies, taking at least four shots in five of those last six games, so don't be surprised if he finds at least one more tally before the season ends -- setting a new career high in the process.

Eichel (ankle) returned to action Saturday and picked up an assist in a 5-3 win over the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
He last played Feb. 10. Eichel is now just three points from equalling his career mark of 57 points. Get him back in your lineup.

Eichel (ankle) will rejoin the lineup Saturday against the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel has practiced with the team since Tuesday and has finally made enough progress to rejoin his teammates in game action for the first time since Feb. 10. He centered the second line in the most recent practice session and should draw in there Saturday against the Blackhawks, with Zemgus Girgensons and Jason Pominville.

Eichel will be a game-day decision for Saturday's matchup with the Blackhawks, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel's been practicing with his teammates since Tuesday, but the Sabres opted to hold him out of Thursday's game against Toronto, which was likely a precautionary measure. Now that he's got a few more full practices under his belt, it wouldn't be surprising to see him return to action against the Blackhawks, although his status for that contest likely won't be confirmed until after Buffalo's morning skate.

Eichel (ankle) will not play Thursday against the Maple Leafs, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
The phenom has missed the past 14 games with his injury, but he was able to practice Tuesday to ramp up excitement among the Sabres faithful and fantasy owners alike. Eichel's next chance to return now comes Saturday against the visiting Blackhawks.

Eichel (ankle) was spotted on the ice Tuesday morning for practice, NHL.com's Joe Yerdon reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is great news for the Sabres and Eichel, who has missed the past 14 games due to a high-ankle sprain. Despite missing a month of action, Eichel is still the team's leading scorer with 22 goals and 53 points in 55 games. Eichel skated by himself on Sunday and later on a line Tuesday with Zemgus Girgensons and Jason Pominville, while Ryan O'Reilly and Sam Reinhart formed the other scoring line with Scott Wilson. The Sabres play the Leafs on Thursday, a team they've been very good against despite their poor regular season record, and Eichel may get a chance to face good friend Auston Matthews (shoulder), who's also expected to return soon. Eichel, who has four goals and nine points in seven career games against the Leafs, is a must-play if he dresses.

Eichel (ankle) skated by himself before Sunday's morning skate, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is the first time Eichel has hit the ice since incurring a high-ankle sprain Feb. 11, but it appears it'll still be a few weeks before he can return to game play. With the Sabres far from playoff contention, there's no rush to return their 2015 first-round pick. However, fantasy owners are yearning for Eichel to get healthy, as he's already posted his third straight 20-goal, 50-point season at 21 years old.

Eichel (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Monday, per the NHL's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
Ever since news broke that Eichel would be held out for 4-to-6 weeks this transaction has always been a formality, and won't effect his recovery timetable. With an extra roster spot open, Linus Ullmark was called up from AHL Rochester, and Ryan O'Reilly still figures to remain the first line center as long as Eichel remains sidelined.

Eichel (ankle) is likely to be sidelined for at least a month, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ankle sprains can certainly be finicky, which is why coach Phil Housley said he could return earlier than expected. Given Eichel's history with ankle ailments, it would make sense that Buffalo eases him back in. With 22 goals and 53 points on the year, this is a brutal loss for one of the league's worst teams, and an equally big blow for fantasy owners.
