Eichel suffered a high-ankle sprain Saturday against the Bruins and will be out indefinitely.
EDGE Analysis
The Sabres, and fantasy owners everywhere, are going to be lamenting this one. Eichel has 22 goals on 201 shots, plus 31 assists, in 55 games. He's been a rare bright spot on Buffalo's lackluster offense, and now the Sabres will have to manage without him. Keep an eye on the American center's status to see if the picture becomes clearer than "out indefinitely."

Eichel appeared to injure his ankle and will not return to Saturday's game in Boston, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel took an awkward and crooked fall in to the boards in the first period and limped straight to the locker room. Obviously, the extent of the injury is still unknown, but it certainly didn't look good. More updates should be available after the game.

Eichel scored a goal, added an assist and registered five shots on net during Thursday's 4-3 win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
The two points improve Eichel to 22 tallies and 31 helpers through 54 games, as he's positioning himself for the first point-per-game campaign of his young career. The blossoming star is up to a high-end 1.2 goals, 2.9 points and 10.87 shots per 60 minutes, and dynasty owners have to be encouraged about his long-term upside with Casey Mittelstadt and a potential lottery pick from the 2018 draft on the way.

Eichel scored a power-play goal and added an assist during Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel's campaign has been prone to offensive peaks and valleys, as before his recent four-game point drought, he had collected five goals and nine assists through his previous seven contests. Tuesday's multi-point showing has him up to 21 tallies and 30 helpers through 53 games for the campaign, and as long as he's locked into a go-to offensive role, the emerging superstar's slumps project to remain fleeting. Expect career-best numbers across the board when the season's over.

Eichel finished with a goal and three assists in Tuesday's 5-0 win over Edmonton.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel was superb in this one, as he picked up a goal and an assist on the power play while also tying for the team lead with five shots. While Edmonton has gotten tremendous production from Connor McDavid, the second overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft showed the Oilers that there may have been more than one generational talent in that draft class. Eichel's certainly looked like one over the past seven games, tallying at least one point in each while totaling four goals and nine assists in that stretch.

Eichel scored the game-winning goal and recorded seven shots through 23:16 of ice time (4:35 with the man advantage) during Monday's 2-1 overtime win against Calgary.
EDGE Analysis
The star scorer is now up to four goals, six assists and 29 shots through his past six games, and his 2.81 points per hour for the campaign positions him among the best skaters who've played at least 900 minutes. Unfortunately, a poor supporting cast still hurts Eichel's upside, as he has just seven secondary assists in comparison to his 19 goals and 19 primary helpers.

Eichel dished out a pair of power-play assists to go with six shots in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel factored into both of Buffalo's power-play goals, overcoming the odds against a Rangers penalty kill that came in ranked second at 84.6 percent. The second overall pick behind Connor McDavid in the 2015 NHL Draft has done his best McDavid impression over the past four games with eight points in that stretch. He still has much to learn on the defensive side, however, as Eichel's rating fell to minus-15 with a minus-2 finish in this one.

Eichel recorded a goal, an assist, two shots on net and a plus-3 rating during Thursday's 3-1 win over Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
The third-year pivot has now collected three goals and three assists through his past three contests to improve to 18 tallies and 41 points over 44 games for the campaign. Eichel doesn't garner the headlines some other young stars do, but his numbers speak volumes. Rebuilding dynasty/keeper owners should kick tires at his availability because he's probably slightly undervalued, and Buffalo is likely to acquire another star in the 2018 draft to improve the long-term fantasy outlook of the Sabres.

Eichel scored twice, dished out an assist and fired six shots on goal in Tuesday's loss to the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel did his best to try and help Buffalo mount a comeback against a talented Winnipeg squad, but the Sabres just weren't good enough to get the job done. Eichel has now gotten on the scoresheet in back-to-back losses and has fired 11 shots on goal in that span. He's really starting to become a top-tier producer and is now up to 17 goals and 39 points in 43 games. The Sabres may be at the bottom of the standings, but Eichel is an automatic roll whenever he's in action.

Eichel had a pair of goals to earn a 4-3 comeback win in overtime over New Jersey on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 21-year-old phenom did what superstars do: he put the Sabres on his back with the last two goals of regulation and put them in position to win the game. Eichel is rolling right now with 11 points in his past six games, including four multi-point nights. He's a must-start in all formats.
