He's producing offense consistently for a Buffalo team in the playoff hunt and should be rolled out with confidence every night.

After averaging 4.6 shots per game in January, Eichel was only recording 2.9 shots per night this month heading into Saturday. Therefore, it was great to see him flying around and getting pucks to the net. He only has one goal in his last 12 games, but that should change quickly if plays as he did versus the Blues. And Eichel has stayed fantasy relevant by contributing 10 assists during his 12-game goal slump.

These were two huge points for Eichel. His man-advantage assist on Ryan O'Reilly's third-period goal helped spark the Sabres' comeback from a 4-1 deficit; the other was the lone helper on Evander Kane's overtime winner. Eichel's been a hit-or-miss fantasy asset lately -- he's posted five two-point efforts in his last 12 games, but zero points in the other seven contests during that span. That still adds up to a nice overall rate of production, though.

Eichel has sandwiched a five-game pointless skid with two strong stretches this season, and he's currently riding a 12-game run with five goals, 11 points and 54 shots. His high shot volume provides an excellent fantasy floor, especially in daily contests, and there is not denying his offensive ceiling. Still, until Eichel curbs the slow stretches that are typical of young players, it's difficult to include him among the full-fledged stars.

Eichel continues to prove why he's extremely dangerous with the puck and dropped his fourth multi-point outing in just 13 games to date.
