Eichel continues to be a scoring machine, and Tuesday was a nice bonus for his owners as both of his points came on the power play. At ninth in the league in points, Eichel is as close as it gets to a sure thing in fantasy.

He lit the lamp twice in just over 12 minutes to begin the game, but unfortunately nobody else in a Buffalo uniform stepped up to support him. Eichel has four goals in his last two games and seven multi-point performances in his last 11, giving the burgeoning superstar a stellar nine goals and 36 points through 30 games.

Eichel has just five goals through 27 games this season.

EDGE Analysis

Eichel is posting a 4.6 shooting percentage, well below his career average of 9.3 percent. This could make him a good buy low option, seeing that he's bound to score more and get closer to his career shooting average. Despite that, he has an impressive 27 assists, 20 of which are even-strength helpers. It took him 67 games to reach 20 even-strength assist last season.

Eichel picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Friday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Panthers.

EDGE Analysis

The Sabres' top line of Eichel, Sam Reinhart and Jeff Skinner accounted for essentially all the team's offense on the night, with goalie Linus Ullmark being the only other Buffalo player to pick up a point. Eichel finished November with only one goal but a whopping 19 assists in 15 games, and if he can avoid the injuries that cut short his prior two campaigns, he seems ready to join the ranks of the NHL's elite offensive dynamos.

Eichel set up two goals Thursday in a 5-4 loss to the Lightning.

He has been particularly productive in his last eight games, putting up 11 points (one goal, 10 helpers) and hitting the score sheet in seven of those eight. Eichel is a stud and his game is on a steep upward trajectory. After delivering 64 points last season, the pivot is on pace to add 30 more points this year. Eichel is a fantasy cornerstone. Use accordingly.

Eichel scored the game-winner in overtime and added an assist in Monday's 5-4 win over the Penguins.

EDGE Analysis

It's his fifth multi-point performance in his last seven games, pushing the fourth-year center's numbers on the season to five goals and 24 points through 21 contests. The addition of Jeff Skinner alongside Eichel has taken a lot of pressure off the 2015 second overall pick, and his reduced goal-scoring pace should turn around once his puck luck improves -- his 5.8 percent shooting is nearly five points below his career rate.

Eichel missed parts of the first and second periods during Saturday's shootout win over the Canucks, but ended up playing the entire third period and the overtime, Lance Lysowski if The Buffalo News reports.

EDGE Analysis

Even though the star forward returned, coach Phil Housley wasn't willing to write off the injury just yet, telling reporters after the game, "Just a lower body bang, bump and bruise. We'll have to evaluate that." The Sabres don't play again until Tuesday, so Eichel will have time to rest up his minor issue. As for Saturday's contest, he ended up skating 15:47 with no points and five shots, though he did have a key shootout goal.

Eichel recorded a pair of assists versus Montreal in a 6-5 overtime win on Thursday.

EDGE Analysis

Eichel now has 15 assists through 16 games which has more than made up for a lack of goals and helped the 22-year-old retain his fantasy value. With only four goals on the season, you'd expect Eichel to find his scoring mitts soon but he continues rewarding fantasy owners regardless.

Eichel failed to record a point in a 3-1 loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Eichel, prior to Sunday's performance, had tallied eight points in his last four games. Posting a goose egg, however, put an end to that four-game point streak. Still, the 22-year-old, through 15 contests, has registered 17 points and is going to find the scoresheet more often than not.

Eichel picked up three assists while adding three shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 9-2 rout of the Senators.

The Sabres' top line of Eichel, Jason Pominville and Jeff Skinner combined for nine points, while eight different Buffalo skaters had multi-point performances on an afternoon when the Ottawa defense offered no resistance whatsoever.
