Eichel picked up two assists Saturday in a 7-1 win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel's final line on the season? He scored 28 goals, added 54 assists, delivered 82 points and finished minus-11, all in 77 games. That's a 28 percent increase in production from last season. Eichel also improved his game in the faceoff circle. He wants to be among the league's elite. Another couple seasons and he could be.

Eichel's third-period goal served as his 80th point of the year as his team claimed a 5-2 win over the Senators on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel's two-game suspension in March made this tighter than it should have been, but it's a nice feather in his cap to reach the 80-point mark for the first time. He's right on track in his progression and has proven to be every bit the star the Sabres thought they were getting during his first four years in the league.

Eichel scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
It was his first goal against Montreal. Eichel had scored against every other team in the NHL, but not Montreal. He had eight assists in his previous 15 games against them. Eichel continues to build the resume of a future star and now has 75 points in 69 games. And his fourth-straight season with at least 24 goals (he has 26 this year).

Eichel has been suspended two games for Saturday's hit to the head of Colorado's Carl Soderberg, Mike Harrington of TBNSports reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is an ill-timed suspension for owners counting on some late-season heroics from the 2015 second-overall pick. Eichel will miss home games Tuesday and Thursday against Dallas and Pittsburgh, respectively, before getting the chance to add to his season total of 72 points through 65 games Saturday in Carolina.

Eichel will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety for his hit to the head of Carl Soderberg in Saturday's loss to the Avalanche, John Vogl of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
As Eichel and Soderberg both raced to a loose puck, Eichel dished out a hit and his shoulder made direct contact with Soderberg's head. He received a two-minute penalty for an illegal check to the head. Considering the head was the main point of contact and Soderberg didn't have possession of the puck, a suspension appears imminent for Eichel. This will be the first hearing of his career.

Eichel scored two goals, one on the power play, in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Eichel's man-advantage tally tied the game 2:42 into the first period, and an unassisted goal near the end of the frame gave Buffalo a 3-1 advantage before it all fell apart late in the second period. Eichel matched his career high in goals with 25 (set last season) as well as pushing his points to 72 in 63 contests. The center added five shots on goal in the contest, giving him 252 this year. Assuming he avoids a deep drought, Eichel's in line for his first point-per-game season in his four-year career.

Eichel scored two goals, one on the power play, in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.
EDGE Analysis
He's hit the scoresheet in 11 of the last 12 games, piling up five goals and 15 points over that stretch. Eichel has now reached the 20-goal plateau for the fourth straight season and has already established a new career high with 68 points through 59 games, and he's showing no signs of slowing down.

Eichel set up two goals in Saturday's 5-2 win over Washington.
EDGE Analysis
The young star stretched his point streak to four games and five points (one goal, four assists). Eichel has moved into uncharted offensive territory with the assists -- he now has 66 points, two more than his career best from last year. And Eichel continues to improve his two-way play. While the whole Sabres team struggles defensively, the young pivot has raised his plus-minus to minus-1. That's no small feat considering he was a woeful minus-25 in 2017-18. Eichel's ascension into the NHL elite continues.

Eichel scored the Sabres' only goal in a 3-1 loss to the Jets on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
With the goal, Eichel has a five-game point streak, with two goals and four assists over that span. Eichel added four shots and two blocked shots in a well-rounded performance. The second overall pick from 2015 has 59 points in 52 games, just six points shy of setting a new career high in his fourth season.
