Andersen was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate and is expected to start Thursday against the Oilers, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports. Andersen has come away with victories in each of his last two starts, holding quality teams in the Bruins and Islanders to two goals apiece. He hasn't yet separated himself in the competition with John Gibson for starts, so expect coach Bruce Boudreau to continue to employ a rough timeshare through the remainder of the regular season. Andersen will make for a strong option in daily formats against the Oilers, who have lost each of their previous three matchups with the Ducks this season.

Andersen stopped 29 of 31 shots faced Saturday afternoon on Long Island. Coupled with his win in Boston on Thursday, it's the first time the Dane has recorded wins in back-to-back starts since early February. After struggling through much of March, Andersen has bounced back well and should be ready to go for a hopefully long playoff run for the Ducks.

Andersen will be in the net for Saturday's game against the Islanders, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports. Andersen rebounded from a terrible outing last weekend against the Rangers with a 27-save gem Thursday, during which he conceded only two goals to capture the win over the Bruins. Coach Bruce Boudreau will likely need to see Andersen deliver more performances of that variety before he creates distance in the competition for starts from John Gibson, who is expected to receive the nod Sunday in New Jersey for the second game of a back-to-back set.

Andersen put a stop to his recent run of futility with a 27-save performance in Thursday's 3-2 victory over Boston. Andersen's February and March have not been good, but John Gibson's consecutive bad turns opened up the opportunity for him to get back out there Thursday, and the fine outing should mean that Andersen gets another shot in net Saturday against the Islanders.

Andersen will be in the net for Thursday's game against the Bruins, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports. Awful performances in back-to-back outings by John Gibson have opened the door for Andersen to assert himself as the team's clear-cut No. 1 goalie, but he'll need to come up huge against the Bruins in order to guarantee himself a larger portion of the starts the rest of the way. With a 2-3-0 record, 2.90 GAA, and .876 save percentage over his five turns in March, Andersen hasn't done much of late to give fantasy owners confidence in rolling him. While his strong team context has largely enabled Andersen to overcome his rather pedestrian ratios this season, the Ducks' recent struggles (5-5-0 over their last 10 games) no longer seem to make him an automatic activation any time he plays.

Andersen was pulled after allowing three goals on seven shots Sunday against the Rangers. Unfortunately Andersen could not build on his performance against the Avalanche a few nights ago, as his night ended way sooner than he had hoped. The effort drops him to an abysmal .866 save percentage in his past four starts -- three of which have been losses. Seeing as how the Ducks have given John Gibson the bulk of the starts in the past few weeks, Andersen could be spending some more time on the bench if he doesn't regain his form quickly.

Andersen will start Sunday's game against the Rangers, Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times reports. Andersen, who is coming off a 3-2 win over the Avs on Friday, will have his work cut out for him Sunday, facing a Rangers squad that has given up a total of just nine goals over its past nine games.

Andersen was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate Sunday and is expected to start against the Rangers, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports. Andersen appeared to have dropped beneath John Gibson in the goaltender pecking order, but will likely receive two starts in a row. He was good in his last outing Friday against the Avalance, stopping 22 of the 24 shots he faced en route to a victory. Another good showing Sunday could make the decision in net tougher moving forward.

Andersen went 22-of-24 in Friday's overtime victory over the Avalanche. The performance could not have a come at a better time for Andersen, as he had been relegated to backup duties the past four games while the Ducks rode John Gibson. While the win only marks his second of the month, Andersen could start seeing regular time in the crease again for the Ducks at any time. Stay tuned for Andersen's status in the coming weeks.

Andersen will be in the crease Friday against the Kings, Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times reports. Andersen has sat out the lost four games with coach Bruce Boudreau content to ride the sizzling John Gibson, who won three times during that stretch. Gibson's emergence has appeared to temporarily push Andersen down the depth chart, but both netminders should see a fairly equitable workload over the remainder of the regular season and playoffs. While the hot hand could eventually win out between the two, Andersen should be in prime position to claim the win most of the nights he takes the ice, as his sterling 30-10-5 record would illustrate. He's worth keeping active Friday, though an outing against the red-hot Semyon Varlamov might make capturing the victory a more dicey proposition than normal.
