Lack was excellent in relief of Jacob Markstrom in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Blues, stopping 23 of 24 shots. It was quite the disastrous outing for Markstrom, who saved only one of the four shots he faced before being pulled in the game's first eight minutes. Lack was stellar in making sure the deficit didn't grow any larger, but his offense failed to provide enough support to lead him to the comeback victory. In any event, Markstrom's horrid showing in the face of Lack's brilliance further ensures the latter will have a strong grasp on the Canucks' goaltending job until Ryan Miller (leg) returns near the end of the regular season.

Lack stopped 34 of 39 shots in Sunday's shootout win over the Blues. While Lack played fine in the win, it was the second straight game the 27-year-old has given up five goals. Lack now owns an 8-8-2 record on the season with a .913 save percentage and 2.64 GAA. With Ryan Miller (knee) sidelined, Lack is currently the go-to-guy in Vancouver. Despite two straight rough outings, the backup is good enough to rebound in a big way. He's worth owning while he holds the starting gig.

Lack is slated to start Sunday's game against the Blues, Elliott Pap of the Vancouver Sun reports. Lack, who is in line for his third straight start, with Ryan Miller sidelined with a knee injury, will look to bounce back Sunday after a rough outing against the Sabres on Thursday, that saw him allow five goals on 23 shots.

Lack was picked apart for five goals on just 23 shots in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Buffalo. Having a game like that against the Sabres, of all teams, is nigh unforgivable. Lack was coming off consecutive highly promising starts against the Isles and Bruins, which just makes this clunker that much more painful. It might just be time for the Canucks to give a shot to Jacob Markstrom, who's simply dominated at the AHL level this year, but hasn't yet gotten into a game as Lack's backup with Ryan Miller (lower body) out.

Lack is slated to start Thursday's game against the Sabres, Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province reports. Though the Sabres have been playing competitive hockey of late, it's not difficult to like Lack's matchup Thursday, with Buffalo now contending with injuries to forwards Zemgus Girgensons and Tyler Ennis. Beyond Thursday, Lack figures to be busy moving forward, with Ryan Miller slated to be out 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury.

Lack stopped 40 of 41 shots Tuesday, outplaying opposing netminder Tuukka Rask in a 2-1 win over Boston. After playing terrifically in relief of Ryan Miller on Sunday against the Isles, Lack came right back with another excellent outing against a quality opponent in Boston. He's a strong roll while Miller's sidelined with his lower-body ailment.

Lack is in line to start Tuesday's game against the Bruins, the Canucks' official site reports. With Ryan Miller out with a lower-body injury for the foreseeable future, per the report, opportunity knocks for Lack, beginning Tuesday, with Jacob Markstrom slated to serve as his backup.

Lack stopped all 27 shots he faced in relief of Ryan Miller in Sunday's win over the Islanders. Lack's 27 saves were most in a relief performance without allowing a goal in team history. Ryan Miller left the game early in the second period after suffering an injury, but it's unclear the seriousness of the injury or how long he will be out for. Lack, who owns a 6-7-2 record on the season with a .917 save percentage and 2.47 GAA, would make for a great pick-up if Miller is out long-term.

Lack gave up three goals on 26 shots in Friday's loss to New Jersey.A rare off night for Lack, who falls to 6-7-2 on the season with a .913 save percentage and 2.57 GAA. We wouldn't be worried, though, as it was just his first loss in four games. Behind starting goaltender Ryan Miller, Lack is one of the best backups around.

Lack has been confirmed as the starter in goal for Friday's game against the Devils.Lack will match up against the Devils' Cory Schneider, whom he succeeded as the backup to Roberto Luongo last season. Ryan Miller now reigns atop the Vancouver goalie depth chart, but Lack has started to eat into his workload in February. He'll earn his fourth start of the month after going 3-0-0 with a .924 save percentage in his first three turns.
