The St. Louis Blues added some offensive skill to their lineup for Game 6 against the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday, with Derek Roy in for Adam Cracknell. Roy has been highly disappointing in both fantasy and reality this season, but St. Louis would feel a lot better about him if he can keep their playoff hopes alive. Roy is fighting for a new contract, so better late than never.

Derek Roy was a healthy scratch Friday night. He sat in the press box in favor of David Backes, who returned from a concussion or neck injury. Roy, who is a free agent come July 1st, is not a favorite of Blues' coach Ken Hitchcock and there does not seem to be any way the talented but inconsistent pivot will return to St. Louis next season.

Derek Roy is expected to center the second line Friday night. Jaden Schwartz and T.J. Oshie will round out the scoring unit. In the unlikely event that David Backes (upper body) is healthy enough to play, he is expected to replace Roy on that line.

Derek Roy got back into St. Louis' lineup on Wednesday in Game 4. It was thought that he was a healthy scratch in Game 3, but coach Ken Hitchcock indicated that Roy was banged up. "He got whacked around a little bit in Game 2 and wasn't able to play his game," said the Blues bench boss. Roy has one assist in three playoff games against Chicago in the series.

Derek Roy will be a healthy scratch in Game 3. Patrik Berglund will return to the lineup on Monday night, so Roy will take a seat in the press box. Roy has one assist and six shots in two games versus Chicago. He was limited to just 10:48 of ice time in Saturday's contest.

Derek Roy is dealing with an undisclosed injury. Roy has nine goals and 37 points in 74 games this season. Although the Blues are still competing for playoff positioning, their main concern at this point is the playoffs. With that in mind, it's possible that they're simply resting Roy over a minor ailment.

Derek Roy (lower body) will get back into St. Louis' lineup on Thursday night. He has missed the past two games with a lower-body ailment. Roy is projected to center the third line between Steve Ott and Brenden Morrow. "They've played three times together and all three games they've played really well together," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "They're three veteran guys who know how to read off each other. I want to see (the line) play consistently well before we evaluate whether to stay with it or not."
