Roy scored a goal and chipped in two helpers in Friday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks. He also skated to a plus-3 rating. With the three-point outbust, Roy is now up to five points in six games as an Oiler since coming over in trade from Nashville. He's only fired four shots on net during that span, but the former 81-point man has a shot at thrusting himself back into fantasy relevance if he can continue to produce -- even if the production comes while skating for the league's worst team.

Roy scored his first goal as a member of the Oilers on Sunday, finding twine on his only shot attempt in a victory over the Islanders. Roy had been caught up in a numbers game at the center spot in Nashville, but the struggling Oilers shouldn't have much trouble carving out a consistent role for him in their bottom six. The 31-year-old has two points while averaging 13:41 of ice time over his four games with Edmonton.

Roy was traded to the Oilers on Monday in exchange for Mark Arcobello. Roy was ticketed for the AHL after clearing waivers earlier Monday, but the Oilers decided to pick him up. Roy totaled just 10 points in 26 games with Nashville and has had trouble finding playing time this month, but he could play regularly for Edmonton.

The Predators assigned Roy to AHL Milwaukee on Monday. The veteran center hasn't played in the AHL since 2005-06, but will head to Milwaukee after struggling so far this season.

Roy was placed on waivers Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Roy was on a one-year contract with the Predators coming into the season, and he has been a healthy scratch multiple times lately. His once promising career took a downturn due to an injury, and now he will have to look for work with another team.

Roy was a healthy scratch Monday versus the Blue Jackets. The writing was certainly on the wall for Roy, given that he was skating on the fourth line and seeing less than 10 minutes of ice time prior to his benching. Roy was expected to be an impact player for the Preds this season after signing as a free agent during the summer, however he has managed just 10 points in 26 games so far, and now can't even seem to find himself a spot in the lineup. As a result, his fantasy value has dropped sharply and he should not be in your lineup.

Roy (upper body) is set to return to the lineup Thursday against the Coyotes. After a five-game absence, Roy stepped into center the fourth line at Wednesday's practice, and figures to slot in there on Thursday with Paul Gaustad (lower body) not expected to play. Roy's return will allow the Predators to avoid calling up an extra forward, as the only other options (Gaustad and Taylor Beck) are injured.

Roy (upper body) participated in Wednesday's practice, Eric Stromgren of The Tennessean reports. Roy substituted in for Paul Gaustad (lower body) as the center of a line that included Eric Nystrom and Gabriel Bourque. It's a sign of progress for Roy, who has missed the Preds' previous five games, but it's unclear if he'll be a lineup option for Thursday's game in Arizona.

Roy (upper body) will not play Thursday against the Predators, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports. Roy will miss his third straight game with the upper-body injury, with no word on when he might rejoin the Nashville lineup. The veteran center has 10 points in 22 games this season.

Roy (upper body) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes, and remains day-to-day, Eric Stromgren of the Tennessean reports. At this point, there is no exact word on the severity of the injury, nor is there an expected timeline for Roy's return. Keep him on your fantasy bench until further details are known.
