Anderson allowed four goals on 39 shots as well as the only tally in the shootout Thursday in a loss to the Blackhawks.
This represents the worst start of the young season for the veteran goalie, who'd posted a save mark over .900 in each of his first four outings. Robin Lehner is nipping at his heels for playing time, so Anderson will need to be sharper.

Anderson made 43 saves, including one on a penalty shot, but was still handed the loss in Sunday's 2-1 defeat against the Blackhawks.
Making his first appearance in over a week, Anderson did everything he could to deliver a win, but the offense could only muster up a single goal. Anderson is off to a solid start, with a shutout and two wins in four games, but backup Robin Lehner has also been strong between the pipes for Ottawa so he may be forced to share time going forward.

Anderson will start for the Senators on Sunday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Anderson was slated to start Wednesday's contest before it was postponed. He will make his fourth start of the season Sunday, and will look to improve on his 2-1-0 record and 2.01 GAA and .939 save percentage.

Updating a previous report, Anderson will not start Wednesday after the NHL decided to postpone the Maple Leafs-Senators game, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Multiple gunmen reportedly fired shots Wednesday morning in the downtown area of Canada's capital, with one shooter dead and possibly one or more still at large. With several government buildings on lock down, safety will understandably take greater precedence than proceeding with the game as scheduled. The NHL has yet to announce a make-up date for the postponed contest.

Anderson will be in the net for Wednesday's home tilt against the Maple Leafs, if the game is played as scheduled, Nicolas St-Pierre of TVA Sports reports.
Several shooting incidents broke out in downtown Ottawa on Wednesday morning, including a round of gunfire on the Canadian Parliament building. With city officials still attempting to manage the crisis, the NHL could choose to postpone Wednesday's game for a later date. Stay tuned for an announcement in the next few hours.

Anderson smothered 28 of 31 shots in Thursday's win over Washington.
Anderson got help from a five-goal offensive outburst Thursday, but he and Robin Lehner can't expect that every night. Anderson's off to a strong start to the year, although it loses some luster if you don't count wins.

Anderson will be the starting goaltender in Thursday's game against the Avalanche, Ian Mendes of TSN 1200 reports.
Anderson will look to stay hot after pitching a shutout against the Panthers in his last start. He has a favorable matchup taking on a Colorado squad that has lit the lamp just four times through four games.

Anderson shut out the Panthers on Monday, turning aside all 30 shots he faced for his first win of the season.
Anderson has now stopped 64-of-67 shots in two starts this year and will likely have earned a slight cushion between himself and Robin Lehner for Ottawa's starting gig with this performance. The Sens play again Thursday (Colorado) and Saturday (Columbus) so owners of both Anderson and Lehner should pay close attention to who coach Paul MacLean hands the starters' reins over to as the week progresses.

Anderson will start in net Monday against the Panthers, Dean Brown of NHL Play-by-Play reports.
Backup Robin Lehner picked up the win in Saturday's game against the Lightning, but the Sens will turn back to Anderson for Monday's matchup with the Panthers. Anderson stopped 34 of the 37 shots he faced in his first game, and will need to play well if he wants to avoid losing his starting job to Lehner.

Anderson stopped 34 of 37 shots in Thursday's season-opening defeat at the hands of the Predators.
Pekka Rinne wasn't necessarily better on the other end, but Nashville's skaters outshot Ottawa's 37-20, which doesn't do Anderson any favors. He'll probably run out there again Saturday in Tampa Bay.
