Anderson denied the Hurricanes on 32 of 33 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime victory.
EDGE Analysis
After giving up a goal only 34 seconds into the game, the 35-year-old netminder locked it down from there. That's now three consecutive wins for Anderson, and he's allowed only a single goal while stopping 91 shots in that span. Hot and cold stretches are part of his game, so don't expect this streak to become the new normal -- after all, he posted a sub-.900 save percentage in each of his first four starts -- but Anderson also has six wins in seven games. The Sens look good and backup Andrew Hammond doesn't pose much of a threat to the veteran's starting role, so Anderson's just about at peak value right now.

Anderson was named the starting home goalie for Tuesday's contest against the Hurricanes, TSN's Brent Wallace reports.
EDGE Analysis
Showing incredible heart and determination, Anderson rejoined the Senators on Sunday after learning of his wife's cancer diagnosis, and proceeded to blank the Oilers on 37 shots. Anderson sports a 7-3-4 record to go along with a 2.38 GAA in 15 career games against Carolina, so he has the potential to keep the positive momentum going in this one.

Anderson stopped all 37 shots he faced in Sunday's win over the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
It was an emotional night for the hockey word and Anderson, who was playing in his first game back since taking a leave of absence Thursday to be with his wife, Nicholle, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. It was the veteran's second shutout of the season and 35th of his career. Anderson is off to a fantastic start this season, posting a 5-1-0 record with a .921 save percentage. Keep him rolling, as he's posted consecutive shutouts and is standing on his head in the process.

Anderson will start in the crease against Edmonton on Sunday, Dean Brown of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
After missing Friday's game as well as a handful of practices due to his wife's cancer diagnosis, Anderson rejoined the team Sunday. He was having a bit of a rough start to the year, but after a shutout in his last outing, he might be starting to find a groove.

Anderson (personal) will rejoin the team, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson's wife has been diagnosed with cancer, explaining his sudden absence from the team. Andrew Hammond (lower body) is out for at least a week, which would have left the Sens with Chris Driedger and Matt O'Connor defending the crease. Thankfully, Anderson feels comfortable returning to the team, although he'll understandably have a lot on his mind.

The Senators announced Thursday that Anderson will take a leave of absence for a "personal matter at home," and he currently has no timetable for his return, Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Chris Driedger, a 22-year-old goalie, was called up from AHL Binghamton in a corresponding move. A true workhorse, the veteran Anderson has already drawn into five starts this season, winning four of them, including his claiming victories past regulation in the first two. By default, he's day-to-day until we learn more about the situation.

Anderson turned away all 22 shots the Canucks sent his way in Tuesday's 3-0 win.
EDGE Analysis
He'd been off to a weak start, posting four straight games with sub-.900 save percentages (although he won three of those thanks to his offense), but Anderson took advantage of an opportunity to balance things out against a Vancouver club that hasn't exactly been an offensive dynamo. The veteran netminder has drawn five starts in Ottawa's first six games, strongly suggesting that he'll again enjoy a huge workload while backup Andrew Hammond just cleans up the remnants.

Anderson will start between the pipes Tuesday against the Canucks, Dean Brown of TSN !200 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson has gotten off to a putrid start to his 2016-17 campaign, allowing four goals in three of his first four starts and posting a sub-.900 save percentage in all of them. Coming off a rough game against Tampa Bay, things get a little bit easier Tuesday against a Canucks club that's struggled to find the back of the net early in the season.

Anderson made 31 saves in a 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
He was solid for much of the game, but the Bolts were too much for the Sens. Anderson has a 3-1 record this season, but he hasn't delivered a save percentage above .895 in any of those four games. And Anderson has allowed 15 goals overall. Those wins are a mirage that masks some pretty sketchy stats. It's still early, but there are better options for your blue paint.

Anderson will start between the pipes in Saturday's home matchup with the Lightning,
EDGE Analysis
Anderson has secured victories in all three of his starts thus far this season, but hasn't played well in the process, posting a subpar 3.56 GAA and .887 save percentage over that span. The 35-year-old backstop will look to begin improving upon those numbers Saturday in an unfavorable home matchup with a Lightning squad that has won three of its first four games of the season, scoring at least three goals in each of those victories.
