Craig Anderson apparently suffered his recent hand injury while making dinner after Wednesday's contest.
It was initially believed that Anderson sustained the injury during the game itself, but that's not the case. Anderson might have suffered tendon damage and it is speculated that he could be out for 10-to-14 days due to the ailment. However, it's worth noting that one Ottawa Sun source said that, in a worst case scenario, Anderson will miss six-to-eight weeks. Aside from the fact that the Senators are fighting for a playoff spot with about a month and a half remaining in the regular season, the timing of this injury is particularly bad. Starting on Saturday, the Senators will enter a two week stretch where they will play every other day.

Craig Anderson kicked out all 26 Islanders shots in a 6-0 victory Monday.
Anderson earned his third shutout of the season and his second in just three starts. His GAA this season has hurt his fantasy value, but Anderson has kept the Senators in games and has been particularly good since the start of 2012. With the Senators battling for playoff position, Anderson should be solid for the remainder of the 2011-12 campaign.

Craig Anderson will be between the pipes Monday night in Long Island against the New York Islanders.
After a torrid stretch in early January, Anderson lost eight in a row before bouncing back in the last couple of games. He might not always put up the greatest numbers, but Anderson is becoming very Miikka Kiprusoff-like in the fact that he has value because he receives frequent opportunities to earn wins.
