Craig Anderson won his fourth game in a row as the Ottawa Senators beat the New York Islanders 5-1, clinching a playoff berth in the process.
Anderson has been heating up since returning from a strange injury in which he accidentally cut himself. After a March 23 loss to the Montreal Canadiens, Anderson has won four games in a row. It'll be interesting to see if Paul MacLean elects to rest Anderson or keep him fresh during the last three games of the season.

Craig Anderson is the projected starter for Ottawa against the New York Islanders Sunday afternoon at Nassau.
Ottawa will try to earn their fourth straight win Sunday afternoon and a chance to take another big step toward the postseason. Anderson made 28 saves to record his third shutout of the season in his previous visit to Long Island. He's a solid fantasy option this afternoon against the lowly Islanders.

Craig Anderson will start in net for the Ottawa Senators in both of their weekend games -- this afternoon in Philadelphia and tomorrow against the Islanders.
The Senators wrapped up a four-day break in the schedule by holding their final practice Friday before jetting to Philadelphia. "We've got three games in four nights again," said centre Jason Spezza of the very odd way their schedule has broken down over the past two weeks. "We just have to go into it with the same approach that we had last weekend: One game at a time." The Senators are two points ahead of both the Washington Capitals and Buffalo Sabres, and sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference. The Sens and Sabres each have five games remaining, the Capitals have four.

Craig Anderson turned aside 44 shots, while allowing four goals, in 6-4 win over Winnipeg on Monday.
He faced a great deal of rubber in just his third appearance back from his finger injury, but he was up for the challenge. Anderson always appears to be at his best when his club is overwhelmed in the shot department and he lived up to that image in Winnipeg on Monday night. He has won his past two outings now to give him a total of 31 on the year.

Craig Anderson is projected to make his third appearance in four days when the Senators visit Winnipeg on Monday night.
He was pulled in his first game back on Friday, following his cut finger in a kitchen accident, after surrendering three goals on 23 shots in a 5-1 loss to Montreal. However, a lower-body injury to Ben Bishop during Saturday's match with Pittsburgh gave him a relief appearance victory.

Craig Anderson is ready to return to Ottawa's crease and is expected to start on Friday versus Montreal.
He has been sidelined since Feb. 22 after he cut the baby finger on his right hand in a freak accident in his kitchen. Ben Bishop, who has filled in during Anderson's absence, will serve as his backup while Alex Auld will watch the game from the press box. Coach Paul MacLean said the Senators will carry three goalies for now.

Craig Anderson (finger) participated in his third full practice Wednesday.
However, there still isn't an exact timetable available for his return. "He's practicing and participating," said coach Paul MacLean. "When he comes and says he's ready to play, we'll address it then, but until that happens, he's only had three practices and he's missed four weeks, so we'll see where it goes. If he feels he's ready to go, we'll decide whether that's the right time or the right thing to do."
