He might not always put up the greatest numbers, but Anderson is becoming very Miikka Kiprusoff-like in the fact that he has value because he receives frequent opportunities to earn wins.

Anderson is capable of carrying a heavy starting load and his success against the Flyers bodes well for another start Sunday.

The netminder faced nine shots in the first period and set aside all of them, but had trouble in the second when he allowed both goals on the same amount of shots. In the end, Anderson finished with 27 saves and has had three very solid outings to "boost" his goals-against average to 3.19, save percentage to .899 and win-loss record to 18-12-3. He's still very unreliable, so it's hard to recommend him beyond a reserve/situational starter, but one has to wonder how many wins he could have if he had more serviceable peripherals.
