Craig Anderson earned the NHL's third star of the week. For most of this season, it's felt like the Senators have found ways to win despite their goaltending and defense. Last week, it was Anderson that kept them in games. Anderson had a 3-0-1 record, 2.41 GAA, and .929 save percentage in four starts last week. He made at least 33 saves in three of those four contests.

Craig Anderson likely anticipated taking a second consecutive loss to the Philadelphia Flyers when Ottawa was down 4-2 going into the third, but the Senators rallied to win 6-4 in regulation. Anderson stopped all 11 Philly shots in the third period to allow his team to turn things around. Overall he had a solid but unspectacular statistical night, stopping 33 out of 37 shots. Anderson is now 20-12-4 after going 5-0-1 in his last six games.

As Rotoworld anticipated, Craig Anderson will indeed draw the start against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday. Anderson fell just short of an outstanding win against the Flyers on Saturday, so perhaps the Ottawa Senators believe that he deserves another shot. He might not always put up the greatest numbers, but Anderson is becoming very Miikka Kiprusoff-like in the fact that he has value because he receives frequent opportunities to earn wins.

Although nothing official has been posted we suspect Craig Anderson will get the start in the second of two weekend games against the Flyers on Sunday. He was brilliant in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss stopping 36 of 39 Philly shots. Anderson is capable of carrying a heavy starting load and his success against the Flyers bodes well for another start Sunday.

Craig Anderson was selected as the first star in Ottawa's 4-1 win over Tampa Thursday night. He turned aside 35 of 36 Lightning shots to post his fourth consecutive victory. Anderson is on quite a roll at the moment and we suggest you ride him. We have seen him carry teams on his back before, most recently in Denver.

Craig Anderson will likely be in goal against the Lightning Thursday night. No big surprise here. Anderson is on a three-game win streak.

Craig Anderson recorded his third straight victory as the Ottawa Senators won 3-2 in overtime against the New Jersey Devils on Monday night. The netminder faced nine shots in the first period and set aside all of them, but had trouble in the second when he allowed both goals on the same amount of shots. In the end, Anderson finished with 27 saves and has had three very solid outings to "boost" his goals-against average to 3.19, save percentage to .899 and win-loss record to 18-12-3. He's still very unreliable, so it's hard to recommend him beyond a reserve/situational starter, but one has to wonder how many wins he could have if he had more serviceable peripherals.

Craig Anderson will start for the Senators' on Monday. Anderson turned aside 26 of 28 shots in regulation in a 3-2 shootout win on Saturday. Of the goaltenders that have GAAs above 3.00, he has the most wins with 17.
