Craig Anderson yielded only one goal on 37 shots as the Ottawa Senators prevailed over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night 4-1. In the beginning of the season, fantasy owners didn't want anything to do with the journeyman, and rightfully so. Now, not so much, as he's been among the league's best: winning his last 10 of 12. In those 12 games, he's allowed a grand total of 20 goals, giving up two or more only twice. The 30-year-old has a 25-13-4 record with a 2.87 goals-against average and .911 save percentage. Those peripherals are a bit misleading, though: He's currently a must-start every night out.

Craig Anderson allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Senators' 2-0 loss to the Winnipeg Jets Monday night. Anderson's fine play this season is a huge part of Ottawa's surprising success in 2011-12. The league's third star one week earlier, Anderson took the top honor Monday after going 3-0 with a .970 save percentage, including his first shutout of the season.

Craig Anderson has been named the NHL's first star of the week. Anderson allowed just three goals in three games to continue his fantastic January. He now has 6-0-1 with a 1.80 GAA and .946 save percentage in seven starts this month. Anderson has been part of the NHL's last two three stars list and his hot streak is part of the reason that Ottawa has climbed to fifth overall in the Eastern Conference.

Craig Anderson all NHL goaltenders with 40 games played this season. Anderson will make it 41 when he starts in Saturday's contest. He got off to a rough start, but Anderson has been getting better as the season's gone on. Right now he couldn't be much hotter with a 1.79 GAA and .946 save percentage in six January starts. We suspect he'll endure another significant cold streak before the end of the 2011-12 campaign, but the Senators are likely to keep using him through his good times and bad.

Craig Anderson will be the Senators' starter on Saturday. That's hardly a surprise, given that Anderson posted a 34-save shutout on Thursday. Anderson has been roughed up overall this season, but he's won seven of his last eight games.

Craig Anderson was spectacular stopping all 34 shots he faced in the Senators' 3-0 shutout win over the New York Rangers on Thursday night. The Sens number one goalie has been very hot of late and now has an overall record of 22-12-4 as well as a shutout on the season. Anderson might not always put up the greatest numbers, but the Ottawa netminder is becoming very Miikka Kiprusoff-like in the fact that he has value because he is able to carry a heavy starting load. One has to wonder how many wins he could have if he had more serviceable peripheral numbers.

Craig Anderson will make his sixth consecutive start between the pipes tonight when Ottawa opens a short road trip at Pittsburgh. Named the league's third star for his fine work (3-0-1) last week, Anderson is 20-12-4 with a 3.13 GAA and .902 save percentage. He hopes tonight's game in Pittsburgh goes much smoother than his last appearance at the Consol Energy Center where Anderson allowed four goals on eight shots in a 6-3 setback on Nov. 25.
