Schneider stopped all seven Czech shots he faced in relief of Ben Bishop during Team USA's 4-3 loss at the World Cup of Hockey on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider's contributions were too little too late, as the Americans failed to erase a two-goal third period deficit and fell to 0-3 in the tournament. Perhaps they would've done better if they gave the Devils netminder more playing time coming off his sixth straight season with a sub-2.30 GAA.

Schneider has made a full recovery from core muscle surgery performed May 12, CBC reports.
EDGE Analysis
New Jersey finished seventh in an extremely competitive Metropolitan Division last season, but Schneider still managed to rank within the top five in the key peripheral categories, including GAA (2.15) and save percentage (0.924). Expect an uptick in wins for Schneider now that the Devils have Taylor Hall on board to patrol the top line and first power-play unit. The big netminder will be on Team USA's roster along with Ben Bishop and Jonathan Quick, but it remains to be seen who will be tabbed as the No. 1 option for the international tournament.

Schneider underwent successful surgery to repair a core muscle injury Thursday, and has an expected recovery time of six weeks.
EDGE Analysis
If Schneider was bothered by his core muscle injury during the season, it didn't show in his performance, as he was fantastic in 2015-16, compiling a 27-25-6 record with an impressive 2.15 GAA and .924 save percentage over 58 appearances. The 30-year-old netminder's win-loss record would have undoubtedly been better had he gotten more goal support from his teammates this season. The Devils averaged just 2.22 goals per game in 2015-16, worst in the NHL. Schneider should be ready for the start of next season's training camp, and will once again serve as the Devils' workhorse goaltender in 2016-17.

Schneider stopped all but one of the 20 shots he faced in a 5-1 win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider closed out the season on a high note with a solid performance against the struggling Maple Leafs. He finally got the goal support he was lacking, as the Devils had failed to reach more than two goals in Schneider's last six starts. The 30-year-old has a new career high in wins with 27.

Schneider was confirmed as the starter for the Devils' season finale Saturday against the Maple Leafs, Rich Chere of The Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schneider has been unable to shake of the rust from his 12-game absence due to a knee injury as he is 0-2-0 in his return. The netminder will look to end the season on a high note against a Toronto squad which, at this point in the year, is basically their AHL affiliate due to the number of call ups. Overall, the 30-year-old is looking to end a six contest skid in which he logged a 3.21 GAA. When considering his matchup, however, Schneider's fantasy value definitely gets a boost for Saturday.

Schneider allowed two goals on 17 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old played well in this one, but received little goal support from his teammates -- something that's plagued New Jersey's netminders all season. Schneider has lost both starts since returning from injury, and had a four-game losing streak going before going out with the ailment. The Devils can't score, making whoever is in net for them a risky play for fantasy hockey.

Schneider will start Tuesday's home game against the Sabres, Tom Gulitti of the Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Beyond that, the starters for the team's last two regular season games have not yet been mapped out, though coach John Hynes didn't rule out the possibility that Keith Kinkaid could draw one of the assignments. In his first game back from a knee injury, Schneider -- who last earned a win back on Feb. 23 -- allowed two goals on 35 shots in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Lightning.

Schneider allowed two goals on 35 shots that he faced in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
The Devils welcomed Schneider back to the lineup by providing him with no offensive support. The 29-year-old was solid in his return and only surrended two goals. Unfortunately for him, opposing netminder Ben Bishop only allowed one. The Devils playoff hopes are on life support, as they currently sit nine points out of the Wild Card spot. Pending any setbacks, Schneider should see most, if not all, of the starts in the Devils remaining three games.

Schneider (knee) will be the backup goalie in Thursday's road game against the Panthers, but will start Saturday against the Lightning, Rich Chere of the Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old netminder is returning to the lineup for the first time in 11 games from a knee injury. Devils' coach John Hynes says Schneider "can use one more tough practice," which is why Keith Kinkaid will continue to start Thursday. The Devils can look forward to Schneider's return as he's compiled an impressive 26-23-6 record and a .923 save percentage in 55 appearances this season.

Schneider was off the IR on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
After earlier reports that Schneider was about to be activated, the team made it official on Wednesday. Despite a mediocre record at 26-23-6, he has a strong 2.17 GAA and a .923 save percentage while playing virtually every game he's available.
